Fair Contouring Products

Fair Contouring Products

Hello, beautiful creatures; today, I’m sharing fair contouring products swatches and thoughts with you. I’d initially planned to do this in January, but thanks to my old job encompassing every waking moment, I just got to it now. Anyway, I’m happy to share these swatches and my thoughts.

Finding fair contouring products that work for very fair skin like mine can be challenging. It used to mean using an eyeshadow, but now you can find a few options in stores.

My skin tone is very fair, neutral to cool muted yellow. When exposed to the sun, I turn olive. My best foundation matches are in very neutral or very fair muted yellow foundations. See my fair foundation swatches and matches.

I purchased all these fair contouring products because I keep searching for the perfect shade for my skin tone.

Fair Contouring Products Swatches

I took photos outdoors in the direct morning sunlight, in artificial lighting in my purple bathroom, and indirect lighting indoors next to my sliding glass doors.

Fair Contouring Products Thoughts – Powders

H & M Powder Blush in Deep Brown looks brown with a red undertone on my skin tone. There is no way this will work as a contouring shade for me, but maybe as a blush.

Glamour Doll Eyes Skeletina is discontinued and the company closed. However, I love this color so much! It’s a very pale grey taupe with subtle orange iridescence. It’s one of the most natural looking loose powder contours I’ve ever tried. I need to see if another indie makeup brand has a similar shade. Skeletina is my favorite loose contouring powder product.

Lethal Cosmetics Bronzer Powder in Quartz is a fair cool beige. Quartz is my favorite fair contouring powder product.

Nyx Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush Glow in So Taupe (along with the matte version of So Taupe) have been staples for me for a long time. I have a soft spot for these two powders.

Fair Contouring Products Thoughts – Liquids

KVD ModCon Liquid-Gel Contour in Fair is ok. I like the sheer liquid formula but wish it was less brown. It is a cool-toned brown but I feel it often needs more grey, less brown tones.

Fair Contouring Products Thoughts – Creams

Nudestix Sculpting Stick in Medium (discontinued, and I no longer shop with Nudestix) leans a little warm, but I used to think it looked decent.

e.l.f. Putty Bronzer in Feelin’ Shady wasn’t as cool toned as I had hoped it would be. However, a lot of people swear by it.

Danessa Myricks Vision Cream Cover in N04 is what I was recommended by a Danessa Myricks staff member at her booth at the Makeup Show. It’s still warmer than I prefer for a contour.

Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer in Amber is my favorite cream contouring product these days. The formula applies and blends out with ease. I also like how Amber looks on my fair skin.

Rituel de Fille Inner Glow Creme Pigment in Intuition is a great luxury indie makeup brand option. I love the grey-lavender-taupe hues with my skin tone and find it very flattering.

Nyx Wonder Stick Cream Highlight & Contour Stick in Fair is much warmer than I thought it would be. I haven’t had a chance to wear this one and see how it looks when blended out.

Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in Light is a product I go back and forth on. Sometimes I think it looks nice, but othertimes I feel like it’s too warm for my skin tone. It has very sheer pigmentation and is fairly forgiving.

Nyx Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush in Nude ‘Tude was a huge disappointment for me as it is a very reddish brown, but was described as a ‘pale taupe.’ I don’t know what world Nude ‘Tude is a pale taupe, but certainly not mine!

Rituel de Fille Inner Glow Creme Pigment in Eclipse is a purple-based sheer black and it looks great in editorial looks.

Kiko Cream Contour Stick in Hazelnut is another product that’s a little warm for my taste.

Final Thoughts

Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer in Amber and Rituel de Fille Inner Glow Creme Pigment in Intuition are the two cream fair contouring products that I would repurchase. Glamour Doll Eyes Skeletina is one I wish I could repurchase!

Lethal Cosmetics Bronzer Powder in Quartz  and Nyx Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush Glow in So Taupe (and the matte version of So Taupe) are the three powder fair contouring products I would repurchase.

I still don’t feel like I have found the PERFECT contour for my fair skin, so the hunt continues! What are your perfect contouring products? Are there any that you can recommend to me?
