Manic Panic Pink Warrior Hair

Manic Panic Pink Warrior Hair. Colored by Cliff. Model is Cordelia Frost

Hello, Hex Squad! Today, I’m chatting about my Manic Panic Pink Warrior hair! Many of you have asked about the duration of my typical salon visit and how the time breaks down. Last Friday, when I went to see Cliff to refresh my color, I timed everything to share with you. My appointments are essentially like two back-to-back sessions, usually lasting around 5 hours. They can extend longer if I opt for curled hair instead of keeping it straight, which is its natural state.

Everything purchased by me unless marked PR. All opinions my own.

Why do you dye your hair pink?

I’ve been asked this question so many times over the past year (more than when I was blue, purple, or green), why do you dye your hair pink? Well, aside from the fact that I love the Pink Warrior? Because I am a breast cancer survivor (as is Dave, as was my grandmother) I choose to dye my hair pink. Manic Panic donates 15% of the sales of Pink Warrior to Breast Cancer Research at BCRF.org. I prefer to support breast cancer research over breast cancer awareness.

Chronicle of my Hair Transformation

My bleached wet hair before a blow dry

    • 10:06 am: I arrive full of anticipation for today’s hair transformation.
    • 10:15 am: Cliff gets right to work, applying bleach and foils alongside a bold black dye to sections of my hair. It’s a mix of excitement and nerves as we begin!
    • 11:27 am: After meticulous application, it’s time for the bleach and dye to do their magic. I can already imagine the final look!
    • 12:40 pm: First rinse of the day! The black dye is washed out, followed by a careful removal of the bleach and foils. It’s starting to come together.
    • 12:52 pm: The buzz of the Dyson Blow Dryer fills the room as Cliff begins drying my transformed locks.
    • 1:17 pm: With my hair now dry, it’s ready for the next splash of color.
    • 1:21 pm: A vibrant concoction of Manic Panic Pink Warrior and Pravana Magenta is mixed. Soon, my hair is awash with rich, daring pink.
    • 1:57 pm: All pink sections are saturated. We let the colors set in, my excitement growing by the minute.
    • 2:20 pm: Another wash, this time adding conditioner to lock in the softness and shine.
    • 2:32 pm: Post-wash, Cliff expertly trims the back, snipping away any split ends, ensuring a flawless finish.
    • 2:43 pm: Another round with the Dyson Supersonic Blow Dryer to achieve the perfect blowout.
    • 3:11 pm: The blow dry sets the stage for the final touches.
    • 3:12 pm: A fringe trim follows, meticulously shaping it to frame my face beautifully.
    • 3:14 pm: Just a couple of minutes later, the fringe is perfect.
    • 3:16 pm: Cliff does a final once-over, ensuring every strand is precisely as it should be. We both beam at the reflection in the mirror.

Transformation complete! I step out of Transcend Studio feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to turn heads with my bold new look.

Cliff’s Recipe for my Perfect Manic Panic Pink Warrior Hair

Before Pink Warrior is applied

Cliff mixes 3 oz of Manic Panic Pink Warrior to 2 oz Pravana Magenta for my perfect Manic Panic Pink Warrior hair. And yes, it is UV reactive and glows under blacklight. He mixes 1.5 oz black with 1.5 oz developer and he uses 30 volume developer. The lightener has to process for 30 to 45 minutes, while the pink processses for 20 to 30 minutes.

Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara

Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara is seriously the best vegan mascara I’ve ever tried. It’s certainly the best tubing mascara too! If you struggle with mascara application and find it challenging to get good results, give Thrive’s liquid lash extensions mascara a try! I just purchased 3 more tubes because my last black mascara finally changed its performance.

You’re supposed to change your mascara every 3 months instead of every 6 months. I find mascara dries out before then so I often switch it sooner. However, the Thrive formula works well for me, and rarely feels like it’s dried out. The only way I notice that it’s time to change the mascara, if I don’t write down the date I open it on my calendar, is when it stops performing phenomenally. That’s how I know it’s ready for a change.

I love this formula so much! I need them to make a dark red wine burgundy shade for Fall / Winter. What do you think?

Glowy Skin

Dave and I had dinner with our friend Alyssa Friday night. I wanted to have glowy skin for our dinner, and after revisiting some older photos me for my alternative makeup brands to try in 2025 article, I decided I needed to wear Auric Glow Lust in Morganite with Urban Decay 10 Ultra Fair Neutral Hydromaniac Tinted Moisturizer. It’s such a beautiful combo on my skin.

Dyson Supersonic Blow Dryer

I’ve tried so many blow dryers over the years, but Cliff and I both find the Dyson Supersonic Blow Dryer to be the best! With the way Cliff sections and dries my hair, it takes under 30 minutes to dry. This is indeed impressive, since my hair touches my hip bones. I love it and it’s the only blow dryer I will use. Everything else takes an hour or longer with my hair length.

Manic Panic Pink Warrior Hair Tutorial

I hope this Manic Panic Pink Warrior Hair transformation brings as much joy to you as it did to me! Thanks for following along on my hair journey. I love sharing slices of my life with you.

Yoga has been intense but so rewarding. I’m learning so much about myself and things I want to change and improve to be a happier person. Spending so much time meditating and getting in touch with my spiritual side has been very rewarding, while the physical aspects of yoga are helping to heal my body.
