The Best Bronzers for Pale Skin
The Best Bronzers for Pale Skin
Happy Makeup Wars Monday! Today I’m bringing you the best bronzers for pale skin. I’ve got all price points covered and everything is cruelty-free, of course. You would be surprised by the amount of questions I get surrounding bronzer, especially considering I don’t wear it that frequently! I went through my collection of bronzers to find the ones that are the most flattering for pale skin.
Makeup Geek, Too Faced, & Urban Decay were sent to me by the brands. Everything else was purchased by me.
Cruelty-free Bronzer Makeup Look
Eyes
Colour Pop Jet Set Black brow pencil
Kat Von D Brow Struck Powder in Graphite
Idun Minerals Magna Mascara
Velour Would I Lie lashes
Face
Smashbox Primer Water Spray in So Chill Coconut
Nudestix Nudies foundation in Light 1
Wet n Wild Goth-o-graphic loose powder in Moon Tears – highlight
Lips
Kat Von D Sexer pencil
Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon in Flaming-oh!
To keep it easier for you to compare bronzers, I’m wearing minimal makeup and it’s the same for all photos. There’s no blush. I used my highlighter that gives me glass skin (see my glowy glass skin tutorial), the Wet n’ Wild Goth-o-graphic loose powder in Moon Tears. Sadly that was limited edition and it doesn’t look like it’s available anymore.
How I Applied Each Bronzer
I used the real techniques multitasking face brush to apply the bronzer to my cheeks and cleaned it in between each product.
The Best Bronzers for Pale Skin Swatches
Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light
The Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light has been a long-time favorite of mine. Mickey likes to apply it with a very light hand to contour around the face. I typically apply it a little lighter than this. The Murumuru Butter Bronzer smells strongly of coconut and reminds me of a tropical drink. I love this smell! I usually only wear the Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light as a contour shade. It’s usually $14.99 on Ulta, but they often have BOGO sales so you can pick it up for less. You can also find it for $8.99 on Amazon.

Milani Baked Bronzer in Dolce
The Milani Baked Bronzer in Dolce definitely has more of a golden hue. If you get heavy handed with it the gold begins to go orange on pale skin. It’s $8.99 at Ulta.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana
It’s literally impossible to get Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana to go orange on pale skin like mine. This is the most affordable and best cruelty-free bronzer option for pale skin. It’s only $3.99 at Ulta! In the photo above, you can see how Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana adds warmth to my cheek, making it one of the best bronzers for pale skin, as well as for people new to bronzer!
Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer in Sweet Tea
I find that Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer in Sweet Tea works well if you have a light hand. If you get heavy with your application (like I did), it leans towards orange on pale skin like mine. This is normally $30 at Ulta, but Too Faced has a sale right now where you can save 20% on their website with the code SUPSUMMER, which makes it only $24.
Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in Sun-Kissed
Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in Sun-Kissed is another good bronzer choice for pale skin. Just like the Too Faced, if you get heavy handed with it, you’ll see it veer towards orange tones. It’s normally $30. This is the best I’ve ever seen Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in Sun-Kissed look on me! It gives me just a bit of warmth.
Laura Geller Beached Matte Baked Hydrating Bronzer in Sunrise Fair
The Laura Geller Beach Matte Baked Hydrating Bronzer in Sunrise Fair is an excellent choice because it gives a beautiful radiant glow to the skin. It’s also hard to go overboard on this one. You have to really apply it with a heavy hand to get it to look orange on pale skin. While the most expensive of all of the bronzers featured, I also think this is one of the best options for dry skin, mature skin, or problematic skin. The Laura Geller bronzer is normally $33 but you can save 20% on it at Dermstore right now with the code CELEBRATE, which brings it down to $26.40

Last one with Laura Geller Beached Matte Baked Hydrating Bronzer in Sunrise Fair, I swear. I think I look amazing above! See the full details on this look here.
Makeup Geek Bronzer in Sun-Kissed (now available at Target!)
The Makeup Geek Bronzer in Sun-Kissed is gorgeous on pale skin. I sort of feel like Makeup Geeks highlighters and bronzers are overlooked, but both have a wonderful formula that makes them very easy to apply and they wear well. Makeup Geek’s bronzer is $21.99 at Target and currently sold out at Makeup Geek.
theBalm Take Home the Bronzer in Oliver
I LOVe theBalm Take Home the Bronzer in Oliver! It looks so good! For some reason, mine is named Oskar and it was renamed to Oliver. Either way, if you have pale skin like mine I think you’ll love this one as it’s my top pick for the best bronzers for pale skin. It’s $17.50. TheBalm often has sales and they share them on Instagram, so give them a follow.

Out of all of these, I feel like theBalm Take Home the Bronzer in Oliver looks best on me, followed by Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in Sun-Kissed, Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light, Laura Geller Beached Matte Baked Hydrating Bronzer in Sunrise Fair and Makeup Geek Bronzer in Sun-Kissed. Before I bought Oliver, I’d been wearing the Laura Geller Sunrise Fair as a blush / bronzer on minimal makeup days.
