Makeup Geek Wildfire Cherry Cola Cruelty-Free Tutorial

Burgundy and Gold eyeshadow cruelty-free tutorial

Happy Friday! Today I’ve got a Makeup Geek Wildfire Cherry Cola cruelty-free tutorial to share with you. It’s a perfect holiday makeup look for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The burgundy and gold are very festive!

I really love how this look turned out. The color combination is awesome. This tutorial is great for hooded eyes, as it uses the dome shape.

1. Apply Sugarpill Tako directly under brows and then use a fluffy brush to blend Urban Decay Walk of Shame in with the edge of Tako and onto the browbone and hood.
2. Apply Makeup Geek Cherry Cola to the lid and lower lid. Apply it to the hood upwards in the dome shape, not going past the inner or outer corners of the lid. Blend out the edges with your favorite blending brush. Mine is the goss 6.
3. Blend out the edges of Cherry Cola on the hood with Makeup Geek Sorbet.
4. Smudge Makeup Geek Corrupt into the roots of the upper lash line and the outer lower lash line.
5. Pat Makeup Geek Wildfire onto the center of the lid and lower lid.
6. Line the lower waterline with NARS Eye Paint in Black Valley.
7. Apply Urban Decay Perversion mascara.
8. Highlight under the brows with Sugar Rush and at the inner corner with Mood Ring.

As you can tell, I’m trying out another of my new backdrops. I love purple, but I’m not sure how I feel about it for a backdrop for photography. I think it’s better for video.

I’m still not sure if I can get away without using a drop of white foundation mixer with Too Faced Born This Way Snow, because sometimes it looks like it makes me more yellow toned than others, but I absolutely love the pigmentation and coverage. It really does make me feel like my skin is perfect. It covers the minor darkness under my eyes, as well as eliminating my redness.

I really love how both the eyeshadow and lips turned out in this look. I like my placement for the contour, blush and highlighter. I think Unlawful (amber pink with silver pearls) works pretty well with the eyeshadow and lips.

  1. Wow, I really love this look! Your eyes look absolutely AMAZING, and that lip color is sublime!

  2. Love Cherry Cola, hate that is it eternally sold out. 🙁 Love the new background as well, but maybe more suitable for video, like you said. For reviews I personally like a very neutral background better, but that is just me 🙂 Great look!

  3. I love how your eyes turned out. I think tomorrow I’ll add my white Face Atelier to my TF Born This Way to see if it helps make it less yellow on me.

  4. Gorgeous! I have a sample of TF born this way foundation, and the shade matches me perfectly, but for some reason the formula turns so oily on me. I don’t have oily skin, so I’m not sure why it happens. I was so bummed!

    1. Oh no! I think it’s because it’s a hydrating formula (in my experience). But if your skin isn’t oily, did you try it with a different primer?

  5. I love Cherry Cola with the gold metallic accent and the deep lip. Gorgeous on you

  6. Cherry Cola has been on my wish list for the next time I order. Their shadows are perfection!

  7. Pretty. Cherry Cola is a lovely color. I really like how you’ve been layering the pigments over your lipsticks lately. Beautiful!

  8. I love this look on you. The lips are everything!! I’m so happy to see you’re back after a much deserved vacation. Sounds like it’s exactly what you needed but didn’t know you needed it.
Also great hearing your review on TF BTW foundation in Snow. I have the much too dark porcelain. I haven’t seen a good review of snow until yours. Great tip about the Paula’s Choice/drop of white mixer. It did look very yellow even though it says neutral. They are rarely ever paper-white pale and neutral. But if it’s only some minor tweaks to make my skin look great, it’s a win in my book!! Xoxo

    1. Cover FX Liquid Foundation in N0 may be what you’re looking for,, because it is ultra pale neutral. I love it and I wear it. I’ve been experimenting with the Too Faced so that I can write a review on it. TF Snow is darker than N0, but it seems to give my face a little more color, not in a bad way. This picture gives you swatches of several of the TF foundations + Cover FX. And thank you so much! https://www.instagram.com/p/-9mhFjLvCQ/?taken-by=phyrra

        1. I honestly thought Snow would be too dark, based on how Cover FX N0 works so well for me but I gave it a try. It gives me more warmth, and most of the time it looks good. Sometimes it looks too yellow on me. I’ll do some photos with it half on my face for you.

          1. Oh, that would be awesome, thanks! I can go a bit yellow more easily than I can pink, so maybe Snow would work.

  9. Love the colors going to try the dome.
Your hair looks great and it is getting longer! ! I heard if you want to have long hair, getting liittle dusting snips monthly is helpful.

    1. I’ve been going in more frequently for just exactly that! I’m also taking seabuckthorn supplements for my hair right now 🙂
