Kaleidos Quad Palettes Swatches

Hello, beautiful people. Today I’m sharing my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches with you. I love the Kaleidos Quad Palettes, but Kaleidos recently announced that they’re discontinuing all of them except Black Jasmine. I’ve purchased Black Jasmine, Glowing Iris, Twilight Rush, and Flowing Haze, and I also received Venus Trap in PR. So I thought I would share swatches of these fantastic quads with you, in case you’re interested in picking them up before they’re gone.
The quads were originally €19,55 each, but they’re now on sale for €15,64 on the Kaleidos website. You may also find them for sale at YesStyle and other retailers that carry Kaleidos.
Kaleidos sent me the Venus Trap quad as a PR sample, and I purchased the other four quads myself. This is not a sponsored post, and all opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links, and I earn a small commission if you shop through them, at no extra cost to you. Thanks for shopping through my links and supporting my work!
The Quick Verdict
If you only read one section of my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches and reviews, make it this one. The Kaleidos Quad Palettes are incredibly well-designed quads. The matte formula is ultra blendable. In fact, you can apply the mattes with your fingertips instead of brushes, and they still blend together effortlessly. Meanwhile, each quad’s Radiate shade adds shine, and Black Jasmine’s steel silver is the standout. Buy them from Kaleidos or YesStyle while they’re still available.
Kaleidos Quad Palettes

Before we get to my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches, let’s take a closer look at each quad. We’ll start with Black Jasmine, the only one Kaleidos is keeping.
Black Jasmine Quad Palette

Kaleidos describes Black Jasmine as a blend of grungy cool-toned grey mattes, a pitch-black matte, and a sparkling silver metallic that create a sultry smoky gaze. Its tagline invites you to “emerge from the night, blossoming with untamed allure.”
- Base: A muted phantom grey.
- Radiate: A sparkling steel silver shimmer.
- Diffuse: A moody slate grey.
- Accentuate: A pitch black.
Above all, the sparkling steel silver shimmer in this quad is the best shimmer of all the quads that I own. I especially love that the silver almost has a blue quality from some angles. Meanwhile, the black is a perfect, deeply pigmented shade that’s great for smoking out liner. The greys work well too. In short, if you’re looking for the ultimate tiny goth quad, the Kaleidos Black Jasmine palette is it! You can even create the perfect Morticia Addams look with Black Jasmine.
Twilight Rush Quad Palette

Kaleidos describes Twilight Rush as a fusion of cool-toned purple mattes, a twinkling matte black, and a sparkling lilac-to-pink duochrome that unleash stormy iridescence. The brand also tempts you to “lose yourself in the rush of urban romance beneath electric skies.”
- Base: An enticing muted indigo-gray.
- Radiate: An electric duochrome shimmering lilac that shifts from purple to pink to champagne.
- Diffuse: An ashen lilac.
- Accentuate: A midnight black infused with twinkling shimmers.
Every color in this palette works for me, and I love it! I only wish I had purchased this palette sooner. In fact, I keep reaching for the ashen lilac and indigo-gray mattes over and over. That’s because I love how flattering they are and how easy they are to work with. For all the details, see my full Twilight Rush Quad Review, Swatches & Looks.
Flowing Haze Quad Palette

Kaleidos describes Flowing Haze as an array of cool-toned mauve taupe mattes with a lilac-to-gold shimmer duochrome that unveil fresh whimsical depth. Its tagline encourages you to “embrace the chilled breeze of a long awaited dawn.”
- Base: A gentle light taupe.
- Radiate: A lilac-to-gold sparkling duochrome with a smoky base.
- Diffuse: A suave taupe with purple undertones.
- Accentuate: An inky dark eggplant.
I fell in love hard with the Twilight Rush Quad, which is what inspired me to give these cool-toned mauve taupe brown shades a try. Normally, I wouldn’t gravitate toward shades like these on my own, since I typically reach for brighter hues. However, I was impressed by how flattering these colors are on my fair neutral cool olive skin tone. I was happy to see that they work well for me. So if you’re looking for an everyday neutral palette, this quad is perfect for that kind of look.
Glowing Iris Quad Palette

Kaleidos describes Glowing Iris as a medley of cool-toned iris blue mattes and a sparkling heather purple metallic that ignite a vibrant regal glow. The brand also asks you to “explore the sublime radiance of moonlit meadows.”
- Base: A vibrant iris blue.
- Radiate: A cool-toned heather metallic with silver sparkles.
- Diffuse: A light wispy periwinkle.
- Accentuate: A muted dark iris blue.
If you are someone who wants a cool-toned purple palette with no pink shades, this quad is it! So many of my friends only want purples with cool tones and no warm tones, and that kind of palette is very difficult to find on the market. Thankfully, Kaleidos did a great job with Glowing Iris.
On the other hand, if you want a cool-toned purple palette with more than four shades, the Cheeryep Fall palette just launched, and it’s stunning. I ordered it from CBeautyMall, so I’ll be reviewing it eventually.
Venus Trap Quad Palette (PR)

(Sent in PR) Kaleidos describes Venus Trap as a harmony of cool-toned nude mattes with a hint of pink, paired with a chromatic taupe glitter, that together emit unforgettable feminine captivation. Its tagline invites you to “entrap hearts with magnetic mystique.”
- Base: A soft cool-toned pink.
- Radiate: A silver taupe glitter that can build from dispersed sparkles to a liquid chrome look.
- Diffuse: A light taupe brown.
- Accentuate: A smoldering gunmetal brown.
Accentuate, the smoldering gunmetal brown, is the shade that sold me on this quad because it makes my blue-green-cyan eyes pop. You’ll find all the details in my full Kaleidos Venus Trap Quad Review.
Kaleidos Quad Palettes Swatches
Here are my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches, photographed on my pale olive skin in a mix of indoor and outdoor light. I took these photos with an iPhone 18 Pro Max camera. I also used the Kaleidos eyeshadow primer as a base for the eyeshadows, and it shows up peach toned on my porcelain olive skin.

I took the photo above indoors, next to a window, on a cloudy day.

In these group swatches, the four at the top left are Twilight Rush, and the four at the top right are Flowing Haze. Below them, Glowing Iris is on the left, while Black Jasmine is on the right.
Kaleidos Quad Palettes Looks
Now that you’ve seen my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches, here’s how the quads look when I wear them.

First up, I’m wearing the Venus Trap quad in the look above, with Kaleidos Star Surfer layered over Radiate for extra dimension.

Next, I’m wearing the Twilight Rush quad in the two looks above. In the second one, I also blended a touch of Cheeryep #16 with Radiate.

For the look above, I used the Kaleidos Flowing Haze Quad. However, I did not find the shimmer as impactful as I’d like, so I added Clionadh Glazed and Spotlight to amp up the shine.

Then, I used the Twilight Rush quad again for the look above.

Finally, I’m wearing the Black Jasmine Quad in the look above.
Final Thoughts

Overall, I wish I hadn’t slept on the Kaleidos Quad Palettes for such a long time, but I’m happy that I was able to pick them up before they’re discontinued. I prefer smaller palettes and quads to giant palettes. That’s part of why I leaned so hard into these fabulous Kaleidos quads. I also love their captivating, well-thought-out color stories and beautiful packaging. If any of these quads caught your eye, I hope my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches help you choose your favorites. And I hope you’re able to grab them while you still can.
On a personal note, I’m sorry that it’s been radio silence from me for quite a while. Nyx unexpectedly passed away a few weeks ago, and Dave and I have been in shock from it. She was only 9, and it was so sudden. It’s really difficult to talk about. It’s been a very difficult year for me personally, but I haven’t shared much about it because almost everyone I know is going through tough times in the USA.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Kaleidos Quad Palettes are being discontinued, and which should you buy before they’re gone?
Kaleidos is discontinuing every quad palette except Black Jasmine, so Twilight Rush, Flowing Haze, Glowing Iris, and Venus Trap are all on their way out. Since Black Jasmine is staying, I’d grab the others first while they’re still on sale at Kaleidos, and you may also find them at YesStyle. Kaleidos is cruelty free, and the mattes in every quad I own are ultra blendable. So your best pick really comes down to the color story you’ll actually wear.
- Twilight Rush: Choose it for cool-toned purples and a lilac-to-pink duochrome. It’s beginner friendly, and its mattes are the ones I keep reaching for over and over.
- Glowing Iris: Choose it if you want cool purples and blues with no pink and no warm tones.
- Flowing Haze: Choose it if you want an easy everyday neutral in cool mauve taupes. However, I found its shimmer less impactful than I’d like.
- Venus Trap: Choose it if most neutral palettes turn orange on you, because its taupes stay truly cool on the eyes. Just press Radiate on with a fingertip, since it’s prone to fallout.
- Black Jasmine: There’s no rush on this one, since it’s staying. It’s the ultimate tiny goth quad, and its silver shimmer is the best of the bunch.
Still deciding? Compare the shades in my Kaleidos Quad Palettes swatches above. And if you miss out on your favorite, my roundup of the best cool toned eyeshadow palettes has plenty of other options.
Do the Kaleidos quads work on hooded eyes, and do they crease?
Yes, they work on hooded eyes as well as deepset eyes. My eyes used to be hooded, and they’re now deepset, so I’ve applied eyeshadow both ways. Every quad pairs three mattes with one shimmer or glitter shade, and makeup artists often recommend mattes for hooded eyes. Sweep the lightest matte across your lid first. Then blend a deeper matte through the crease and just above it, so it shows when your eyes are open. As for creasing, Twilight Rush and Venus Trap both lasted all day on me over an eyeshadow primer. I saw no creasing and no fading. Just don’t skip the primer. Back when my eyes were hooded, my eyeshadow disappeared in 20 minutes or less! The two primers I use the most right now are the Kaleidos Tone Activator Eye Primer and the KIKO Milano Neutral Eye Primer. For more on eye shape, read Do I Have Hooded Eyes? How to Tell.
Are the Kaleidos quads cruelty free, vegan, and talc free?
Kaleidos is cruelty free, and all five of these quads are vegan. However, only Black Jasmine is talc free. Twilight Rush, Flowing Haze, Glowing Iris, and Venus Trap all list talc in at least two of their four shades. So if you avoid talc, Black Jasmine is your quad, and it isn’t going anywhere.
Which Kaleidos quad has the best shimmer?
Black Jasmine wins for the best shimmer, hands down. The steel-toned shimmer reminds me of what I wanted from the glittery shade in the Melt Cosmetics Gun Metal Eyeshadow Stack. Twilight Rush is a close second, because its duochrome is lovely, even if it’s too subtle for my taste. Glowing Iris and Flowing Haze tie for third, and last but not least is Venus Trap. I just prefer complex multichrome shimmers for my impactful shades, which is why Bellabeautebar, Clionadh, and Devinah steal the show for me.
What can you buy instead once your favorite Kaleidos quad is gone?
I would recommend looking at Cheeryep and Girlcult for Asian beauty eyeshadows. If you’d rather purchase singles and build your own palette (BYOP), I would also look at Clionadh, Devinah, Lethal Cosmetics, Bellabeautebar, and other indie brands. What else do you recommend from Kaleidos?
Kaleidos is having a sale right now, so it’s a great time to try more from the brand. Their highlighters and eyeliners are phenomenal, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! Here are my favorites, plus a few on my wish list:
- Epiphany Glow Melt-On Eyeliners: These are fantastic, and I especially love Aurora Runner, Lunaria, Night of Creation, Limelight, and Scarlet Striker. Miss Matrix is on my wish list.
- Space Age Highlighters: I wear them all the time, and my favorites are Moon Cruiser, Star Surfer, and Gifted.
- Blushes: I love their cool-toned shades, like Dreamwalk and Hotshot.
- Symphony Contour Trio: The Fair shade works for very fair neutral cool olive skin like mine, though I think mine got lost in the move.
- Glassload Lip Melts: I love these, and I wear Prismelt, Cheat Code, and Cypher regularly. Stranger, Geek Out, and Endgame are all lovely gothic shades, but I don’t own them.
- Cloud Lab Lip Clays: I enjoy the formula, and my favorite shades are Siren, Scorpion Fruit, Mercury Wave, Cactus Flower, and Rosefire.
- Sculpting Lip Pencils: I own and enjoy Merlot, and I’ve been curious about Dark Matter and Mauvement.
- Tone Activator Eye Primer: I like it, but be warned that it turns peachy on my olive skin tone.
