Huda Beauty is cruelty-free and they have some vegan products, like their Faux Filter Foundation. Unfortunately, they are not Leaping Bunny Certified or PETA Certified. I wish they’d get Leaping Bunny Certification! (Learn how easy it is to get Leaping Bunny Certification)

Here’s their official cruelty-free policy: Whilst our products are not officially certified as ‘cruelty free’ yet (we are working on this!), we can confirm that we do not conduct or commission animal testing on ingredients, formulations or finished products.

I took this photo of the Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Green Palette in my lightbox under studio lights.

These swatches on fair skin of the Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Green Palette were taken outside on an overcast day in the middle of the afternoon.

Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Green palette swatches on Pale Skin
Left Column – 5, 6, 9, 1, 8 Right Column – 2, 4, 7, 3
  • 5 – white base with lime green shift
  • 2 – neon yellow with golden green shift
  • 6 – light brown with blue shift
  • 4 – mauve brown base with golden green shift
  • 9 – pink with golden green shift
  • 7 – bronzed mauve with pink to golden green shift
  • 1 – light highlighter yellow matte
  • 3 – neon green highlighter matte
  • 8 – peachy coral matte

I numbered the palette across the top row as 1, 2, 3, middle row as 4, 5, 6, and bottom row as 7, 8, 9.

I know the first thing you’re probably thinking is, but I don’t see green in this palette. The Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Green palette is more of an unusual mix of pink and green mattes (these colors are more of a coral pink and yellow-greens), yellow and neutral shimmer eyeshadows, and duochrome blue and copper metallic eyeshadows.

I see a lot of neon yellow highlighter influenced colors, lime green and golden green shifts are interwoven into several of the shades, and even some pinky mauves. Believe it or not, looking at the Huda Neon Obsessions Green Palette made me think of the Lime Crime Venus XL 2 palette, with its unusual and soft sages and pinks.

Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Green Palette Review

In my humble opinion, as someone who has been blogging for 11 years at this point, if I were going to be making palettes they would probably look similar to the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes. What’s not to love about an ultra-portable, 9 shade palette with color coordinating eyeshadows? The buildable formula works well for how I prefer to apply my eyeshadow too!

I do want to point out that this compact little eyeshadow palette contains 9 full size (.05 oz each) eyeshadows, which I feel makes this palette a good value for the price of $29. That breaks down to about $3.22 per eyeshadow.

I have Huda Beauty Obsessions Sapphire, Ruby & Amethyst, which I love to pieces. I like the mix of duochrome shades with mattes. The duochrome shades are meant to be layered on top of the mattes for intense monochromatic looks. This is the easiest way for me to apply eyeshadow on my hooded eyes – slap a matte on my eyes in the smoky dome shape, then follow it up with the glittery shade on the inner lid, mobile lid, or center of lid if I want it to be a halo eye. The colors are all coordinated to work together, so it speeds up my getting ready time.

I bought two of the three Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Palettes – Neon Green and Neon Pink. I have zero regrets over it. The duochromes in the palette make it so much fun to play with. And honestly, I am dying over 4 of the colors they included! I love the white base with lime green shift, the pink with golden green shift, the brown with the blue shift, and the neon yellow with the golden green shift. These are all 4 duochrome colors I would make and include in a palette. The three mattes are good, too.

What do you think of the little Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Green Palette? How would you use these colors together.

  1. The pink neon palette contains carmine. Were they lying about their products being vegan or was that email in reference to some specific products?

    1. I had emailed them about their products and foundations when they launched. The foundation is vegan, but I don’t think these eyeshadow palettes are vegan. Some of their products are vegan.

  2. That is way nicer and way more approachable than what it looked like on Huda’s Instagram. They just need to hire you to do all their swatches.

  3. There are some shades in here that I would use and definitely some that I would not use. That’s the story for most palettes for me. I love this brand though.

  4. While these aren’t my colors they are really beautiful. I love that she priced this so reasonably since so many companies take advantage of the fame of the artist with ridiculous prices.

  5. I like the look of these. I would like to see a few looks with palette. I really liked the swatches. Thanks.
