Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette Review

First, the Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette is very reasonably priced at $27 for 9 full size eyeshadows. Second, the shimmer shades are pretty awesome. Third, I’m a fan of the eyeshadow formula, as it’s very blendable.

While I have small eyelids, I don’t find applying eyeshadow with my finger tips to be easy because of my eye shape. So while some of these eyeshadows say they look better when applied with finger tips, if you have small lids like I do, you can use a dense shader brush to grab the color and help with placement.

I find the mattes in the Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette to be a buildable formula. I prefer this because I’m less likely to go overboard and have trouble blending out the colors.  While the mattes are nice and buildable, it’s really the duochrome and sparkly shades that make these palettes awesome. They’re 100% the reason I bought Amethyst, Ruby & Sapphire. The shimmer shades are gorgeous and I really love them. They’re very unique looking colors with duochrome shift, perfect for lid shades.

As far as purple palettes are concerned, I feel that the Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette is a winner. While it is mostly all pink-toned purples and warm purples in the palette, they’re quite flattering, beautiful colors. You can create a variety of looks with these shades.
