Urban Decay Beached Vice Lipsticks
Today I’m sharing the Urban Decay Beached Vice lipsticks with you. These three lipsticks are part of the Urban Decay Summer 2018 collection. They go nicely with the Urban Decay Beached Palette (see my Beached review here). Urban Decay’s website claims that the Beached Vice Lipsticks, Beached eye pencils, and Beached bronzers are all vegan. As always, Urban Decay is proud to be a cruelty-free makeup brand.

Urban Decay Beached Vice Lipsticks Swatches
I swatched the Urban Decay Beached Vice Lipsticks on the back of my hand as well as on my lips. From left to right we have Heatwave, Tower 1 and 100 Degrees.
This photo was taken indoors in front of a window on an overcast afternoon, as I was trying to capture the sparkle in Tower 1.
This photo was taken under studio lights in my office.
This photo was taken standing in the doorway with my back facing the outdoors, so that the overcast afternoon light would strike the lipsticks. I wanted to capture the sheen of Tower 1.

I normally use a lip pencil when I apply lipsticks, but since I was swatching multiple lipsticks, I didn’t use a pencil. My lines aren’t 100% perfect.

Urban Decay Beached Vice Lipsticks Review
Heatwave is a metallic rusty pumpkin orange. I like the metallic finish. I don’t think it’s a particularly good color on me. However, if you love orange I think you’ll really like Heatwave’s color and formula.
light metallic peach with pink shift (sheer)
Tower 1 is mesmerizing in the tube! I love how it looks peach with iridescent pink sparkles. It’s so eye catching! Tower 1, when applied to my lips, adds more of an iridescent pink sheen. It doesn’t really add any peach color that’s discernible to my eyes. If you like the idea of gloss but don’t want the sticky feel, this lipstick might be for you. It’s a good lipstick topper to add shine and dimension at the center of the lips.
bright coral-pink (sheer)
100 Degrees is a sheer lipstick in 1 pass. I swiped it across my lips a few times and loved how super glossy 100 Degrees looks on my lips. I find this coral-pink looks more like a coral-red with my natural lip color. Normally I’m not a fan of sheer lipsticks but I really love how this one looks on me. I like the whole ‘glossy lip’ finish without having to wear gloss. 100 Degrees is perfect for someone who wants to wear a red but doesn’t want it to be too bold. The sheer finish balances bold with wearable.
When I was swatching the Urban Decay Beached Vice Lipsticks, along with other Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks, I was reminded of how much I love the Vice Lipsticks formula. It’s my all-time favorite lipstick formula because I find it very comfortable to wear and I love the color range. There are so many shades that are amazing and I never get tired of reaching for them!
For your average makeup lover, I can easily see 100 Degrees and Tower 1 as staple Summer lipstick colors. If you wanted an easy sheer glossy coral lip, 100 Degrees is it! You just swipe it on and go. If you want ultra shine, grab Tower 1. Tower 1 will catch the light.
If you are someone who loves the glossy look but you hate wearing gloss, try Tower 1 or 100 Degrees. Both have a lot of shine, but won’t get caught in your hair or migrate around your face (my main objections to gloss).
