About Bellabeautébar
Bellabeautébar Cosmetics was founded in 2018 in New York but is now located in Sarasota Florida. They specialize in smudge proof, water proof, and long lasting cosmetics with a mixture of handmade and manufactured items. As I mentioned above, they are cruelty free and paraben free. Most products are vegan. And of course, they are Leaping Bunny certified!
About the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette
The Basic Witch Palette has nine beautiful mattes that get a lot of use from me. Two multichromes, two holo chromes and two duochromes are also included. Witch Please and Perfectly Wicked appear to be the duochromes to me. I’m guessing that Resting Witch Face and Incantation are the multichromes, and Cauldron and Hocus Pocus are the two holo chromes. The mattes include Glinda, Conjure, Hex, Black Magic, Hecate, Coven, Black Cat, Creep It Real and Grimoire.
The palette I pair with the Basic Witch Palette the most is the Blend Bunny Lure Palette. See my Blend Bunny Lure Palette review and looks!
Inside the Palette
The Basic Witch Palette packaging is sturdy and lightweight, crafted from cardboard. The front is adorned with a holographic rose gold pink font. Inside, a mirror is included.
While not arranged in order from light to dark, you do have the eyeshadow colors sort of grouped near one another.
Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette Swatches
I swatched all the colors on bare skin with my fingertips for this Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette review.
On the left side of my arm, from top to bottom is Glinda, Conure, Hex, Black Magic, Hecate, and Coven. The right side of my arm, from top to bottom is Creep it Real, Grimoire, and Black Cat. I swatched the left side with the colors that I perceive to be cool toned, while the right side is colors I perceive to be neutral to warm toned.
From top to bottom we have Perfectly Wicked, Witch Please, Resting Witch Face, Cauldron, Hocus Pocus, and Incantation.
Top to bottom we have Perfectly Wicked, Witch Please, Glinda, and Conjure.
The beautiful purple set has Resting Witch Face, Hex, Black Magic, and Hecate.
My green set contains Cauldron, Hocus Pocus, Creep it Real, and Coven.
The final set is made up of Incantation, Grimoire, and Black Cat.
Basic Witch Shade Descriptions
Unfortunately, there are no official shade descriptions for the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette, so you’ll have to make due with mine. It always disappoints me when brands opt to not include shade descriptions or even tell you what formula each shade is.
- Perfectly Wicked – soft beige-pink base with pink to subtle gold shift
- Witch Please – hot pink with blue shift shimmer
- Glinda – cool toned cotton candy pink matte
- Conjure – cool toned neon pink matte
- Resting Witch Face – purple base with pink to subtle gold shift
- Hex – cool toned pastel purple matte
- Black Magic – cool toned bight midtone purple matte
- Hecate – cool toned deep vivid purple matte
- Cauldron – tan base with strong green to blue to teal shift
- Hocus Pocus – smoky blue-purple base with strong gold to green shift
- Creep it Real – vivid yellow-green matte
- Coven – cool toned purple grey matte
- Incantation – orange with gold to green shift
- Grimoire – dusty pale orange with yellow undertone matte
- Black Cat – neutral warm black matte
I don’t feel like I can tell which shades are holo chrome, unlike in my Adept Cosmetics Cyborg Choir palette. That one is very easy to tell which shades are holo chrome.

Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette Review
Why I love the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette
I absolutely adore the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette—it has quickly become a staple in my makeup collection, and I just can’t get enough of it! The palette features a stunning array of pinks, purples, and greens that truly bring me joy. I love the mix of cool and warm tones, although I find it predominantly leans toward cool shades, which suits me perfectly.
The matte formulas are a dream to work with, offering wonderful pigmentation that’s both blendable and buildable. I prefer mattes like these because they allow for seamless blending without the struggle that comes with overly pigmented shadows that refuse to budge.
But let’s talk about the real showstoppers—the duochromes, multichromes, and holo chromes! These shades are incredibly smooth and easy to apply, instantly catching the eye and earning me countless compliments. The color shifts are remarkably vivid, adding a magical touch to any look.
And can we appreciate the adorable, witch-themed shadow names? They add an extra layer of fun and whimsy to using this palette. If loving these enchanting colors and charming names makes me a “basic witch,” then I’m embracing it wholeheartedly!
All-Day Wear
I love that I get all day wear with this palette by using Devinah Prelusion Eye Base Primer (use code CORDELIA to save 10% at Devinah). No creasing or fading on my deepset oily eyes. I’ve been pleased to discover that my eye makeup is far less likely to crease and fade now that I’ve healed from my blepharoplasty surgery.
Value
The $68 Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette review needs to mention my take on the value of the palette. With 15 eyeshadows, it breaks down to $4.53 per eyeshadow. That’s a reasonable price for high quality eyeshadows, but definitely more in line with what I’ve paid for Urban Decay palettes in the past. However, it’s definitely more affordable than one of my other beloved palettes, the Danessa Myricks Lightworks IV, which was $125 for 14 shades, which breaks down to $8.92 a shadow.
A Small Downside
The only thing I don’t love is that the palette contains talc. If you’re sensitive to this ingredient, keep that in mind.
Is the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette right for you?
If you love bold, blendable mattes and beautiful unique multichromes, duochromes and holo chromes, you need the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette. It’s great for anyone who loves pink, purple, and green, and loves to experiment with bright, bold looks. However, if you prefer neutral tones, you should skip this because it’s not the best fit for you. I hope you enjoyed my Bellabeautébar Basic Witch Palette review!
