Nyx In Your Element Air Palette

Nyx In Your Element Air Palette Review and swatches on pale skin

Nyx In Your Element Air Palette

Today I’m sharing swatches of the Nyx In Your Element Air Palette. I bought this palette, as well as Wind and Water, from Ulta when they were on sale at Ulta. Air is a pastel palette. I bought Wind and Air because I’m a Gemini, an Air sign. While I bought my palette from Ulta, I don’t currently see it available there. I can only find this palette at Nyx’s website.

Nyx Cosmetics

Price
$30 (though I paid less because I bought during an Ulta sale)

I like the marbled effect on the lid of the Nyx In Your Element Air palette. It’s cool. The back of the palette has each shade labeled with a number. I would always prefer for colors to be named and to have their name below each shade in the palette. That said, the Nyx packaging is very sparse, with no wasted space in the palette layout. Between the packaging, the palette layout and the lack of names, it doesn’t feel like a $30 palette.

The Nyx In Your Element Air palette eyeshadow quality is a step-up from the typical Nyx eyeshadow singles I’ve tried. The Nyx In Your Element palettes have better pigmentation. That said, they could still use more pigmentation. I feel like you really have to build up the colors. I do really like the mix of matte and shimmer colors in the In Your Element palettes.

I would not pay $30 for the Nyx In Your Element palettes, but they’re definitely worth picking up on sale if you like the mix of colors offered. I think the Nyx In Your Element Air palette is a great palette for Spring. I love the mix of pastels with the few bright pops of color.

If you’re new to eyeshadow and afraid of color, I think the Nyx In Your Element palettes might be a good choice to start with. Right now, the Nyx In Your Element Air palette is $15 on the Nyx site, which is a reasonable price. See swatches of the Nyx In Your Element Wind palette.

  1. Happy New Year! I agree love, I don’t think it’s worth spending $30 on-I do like the idea of these palettes but for what you get, I don’t think it’s worth the price point, but I would pick on up on sale -$15, yes. I like the other Elements palette shades as well, I’m not really a pastels person but I do want to pick up a pastel palette, also a brights palette this year! Kevyn Aucoin has one that released called ElectroPop, it has shades I don’t have, like the greens and blues and also the rest of the bright palette-multi dimensional pearl formula–I saw the brand’s video on it and the formula is gorgeous. the MELT parties stack is on my wishlist for sure! For myself, I tend to shop after Christmas since they sales are good-but they are especially good this year-fashion and beauty alike!
