Favorite Cruelty Free Mascaras
This is a highly requested post! Today I’m sharing my favorite cruelty free mascaras. Now, for the most part I’m not wearing mascara right now because I have lash extensions. On rare occasion I’ll use a bit of mascara on the tips of my extensions. I wanted to share my favorites for every price point. I primarily look for mascaras that give me a lot of volume.

PerFekt Lash Perfection Gel (also in travel size) – $28.50 / $10
A mix of primer, mascara, conditioner and enhancer in one. It’s smudge resistant and clump and flake free.
PerFekt Liquid Lash Curler – $28.50
This is a unique gel formula that helps to give you all day curl. (vegan)
Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara – $28
A luxe mascara with panthenol and a deep glossy black finish.
NARS Audacious Mascara – $26
With a unique brush that has long teeth alternating with short teeth, the brush somehow manages to really help lengthen and separate your lashes. I love the formula.
It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara (also available in a travel size) – $24 / $12
This mascara has peptides, proteins, biotin, and collagen. I don’t buy the anti-aging claims, but I love the brush shape, the formula, and the ultra black color.
Ardency Inn PUNKER Unrivaled Volume & Curl Lash Wax – $24
This is a mascara with a unique formula of wax. I love the brush shape.
Nudestix Lash Lengthening Mascara – $24
For those of you craving length, you’ll love this formula.
Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara – $23
This is an ultra black formula that’s meant to greatly increase lash volume. Love the brush shape too! (vegan)
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (available in travel size) – $23 / $12
Another collagen filled formula that’s smudge proof, though the last time I wore it I did experience a bit of flaking, which was unusual. I loooove the volume you’ll get with it. (vegan)

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (available in travel size) – $22 / $10
Perfect black pigment, volumizing, lengthening, great brush shape… just about everything you could want in a mascara!
Pur Fully Charged Magnetic Mascara – $22
This is another mascara that has anti-aging claims (I kind of roll my eyes at mascaras that say that), but it has an excellent formula and is great at separation, especially with the brush shape.
Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara (also in travel size) – $21 / $10
This has been a longtime favorite of mine becauze of the crazy volume I get with it. I feel like it rarely gets talked about, but it’s a great formula with a great brush. (vegan)
Kat Von D Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara – $20
One of my friends swears by this mascara. She says it’s the best lengthening, dramatic mascara that she’s tried. The brush shape is really unique.
Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara – $20
This was my go-to waterproof mascara for years. Great formula and a great brush!
Physicians Formula Sexy Boost Cat Eyes Mascara – $9.99
This has been my favorite drugstore mascara for quite a while because of the brush shape and the formula. I feel like the brush really helps my lashes out.
Essence I love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara – $4.99
This is the best drugstore mascara that I’ve tried, hands down. It’s also hard to beat the price!
Essence I love Extreme-Volume Mascara – $4.99
The little sister of the Crazy mascara. Also a fabulous formula.
Wet n’ Wild MegaPlump Mascara – $3.99
This is one of the best volumizing mascaras that I’ve ever been able to find at Walgreens. It’s got a good formula.

How does URban Decay Perversion compare to Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel and the curling version? Thx
I personally get better results with the Perversion mascara. The Perfekt Lash Gel doesn’t make my lashes as long or as thick.

Favourite on your list is Urban Decay – Perversion. It’s inky black, doesn’t clump, flake, smear or burn my eyeballs. I wanted to like Tarte, Lights, Camera Lashes but it is sooooo clumpy, I had to toss it.
How does Urban Decay Perversion compare to Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel and the curling version Liquid Lash Curl? Thanks
Some of these are iffy in the cruelty free department. Too Faced for example is owned by Estee Lauder.

The only Essence mascara I used was horrible. I couldn’t get it off. Other than that I love quite a few of your mentions: Too Faced, IT Super Hero, Pur Fully Charged.

I am obsessed with Essence mascara. I love the I <3 Crazy Volume mascara, even though I find it gets clumpy after a while…but for under $5, I don't care. And I can actually afford to replace it every 3 months instead of just using it past the expiry date and hoping I don't get an eye infection!
