Brands I Met
If you follow me on Instagram or you’re in the PhyrraNyx Facebook Group you’ll know that I went crazy for the brand ContoursRX. They make contour correcting strips for hooded eyes. These shape your eyes to give you an eyelift without surgery! I love them!
Dr. Paw Paw is the first awesome brand that I went to meet. They make an amazing multi-use balm that helps with everything. I have perpetually dry lips (as you know) and normally rely on the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask to keep my lips hydrated. While in Las Vegas, I was even more dry than expected. I used Dr. Paw Paw on my lips overnight and it left me with hydrated lips in the morning. It’s also good on chafing (if you have issues with your legs rubbing together), diaper rash, nails, cuticles or anywhere you have dryness.
Some people use Dr. Paw Paw as a natural highlight on the face. Other people will put it all over their face at night to help lock in moisture. You can use it to tame flyaway hairs or put it on the ends of your hair. In addition to the original clear, it comes in peachy-pink, red and red glitter. There is a shea butter version that will be launching soon, too! I’m in love with Dr. Paw Paw and I’ll have a more detailed post up in the future. If they hadn’t been at Cosmoprof I don’t know when I would have learned about them.
There were two hair brands I can’t find photos for – Kevin Murphy Hair and Saffron Secret. Both are really interesting brands. Saffron Secret is made with saffron, which I normally associate with cooking. Kevin Murphy is an LA Based hair company.
Erbaviva was one of the next brands we visited. They make organic skincare for mommy and baby. One of their top products is the Nursing Balm. It’s the only nipple cream that I know of that is made without lanolin. They’re even Leaping Bunny certified.
Next I met with Lindsay from Eva NYC Hair Care. Eva NYC is one of my all-time favorite hair care brands and I was so glad that they were at Cosmoprof! Eva NYC and their sister company Amika are both Leaping Bunny certified. Their Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer is what I use before I blow dry or heat style. The Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo saved my hair in Vegas because it got rid of the icky smoke smell from people smoking indoors. The Forget Me Knot Dry Conditioner is amazing, as it’s like a dry oil spray and it really helps to soften and detangle my hair. The Surfs Up! Texture Spray is what I like to use when I’m having a wavy hair day. Their Therapy Session Hair Mask is supposed to be one of the best deep conditioning treatments! I love their products! If you’re serious about hair care, like I am because of how much I color my hair, you need to try Eva NYC.
I had to stop by the Manic Panic booth. I was a dye hard (pun intended) Manic Panic fan for years and I still sometimes use their dyes mixed in with Pravana to achieve specific shades if I’m doing my hair myself. I was thrilled to learn that Manic Panic is launching a professional color line for salons!
We saw the new Orly Velvet Dream Collection for Fall 2017. I really want to play with Kaleidoscope.
Hot Tresses has an amazing display with this ginormous sea shell and Australian sand. They’re a cruelty free hair company. They were so sweet!
Goldfaden is another neat brand! It’s a dermatologist developed natural skincare line.
Supermood is a Finnish skincare line. They have collagen enhanced chocolate, too! I can’t help but think that’s cool.
I was thrilled to meet the ladies of Ittse at Cosmoprof! They’re a cruelty free indie company located in San Francisco. They make really gorgeous eyeshadows and highlighters. They’re paraben free, gluten free and made in the USA. Plus, their packaging is eco friendly. Love it!
Cle Cosmetics really impressed me. They make a cushion foundation that appears to be light enough for my pale skin. Their CCC Cream looked to be a perfect match for Emily’s pale skin. Their Moonlighter Cushion highlighter was beautiful. I am enthralled with their Melting Lip Powders and really want that bright barbie pink shade to wear! Their minimal aesthetic is really cool. they were my favorite new color cosmetic brand that I met at Cosmoprof.
The below brands we met at the Cosmoprof luncheon.
The Cosmoprof Green Beauty section was one of my favorites! There were so many Leaping Bunny certified brands in that section. I was seriously impressed!
I LOVED the imagery for Londontown’s Hyde Park collection! It’s so beautiful.
Moda Mythical 5 Piece Sky Traveler Kit
Moda Mythical Splash Travel Kit
I know you’re going to love Moda makeup brushes as much as I do! I fell in love with them at Cosmoprof. I was drawn in by their gorgeous purple brushes and once I started speaking with Justin I KNEW I had to show them to you. They have a unicorn collection, a mermaid collection, and their prismatic collection is breathtaking! They’re cruelty free and vegan, made by Royal & Langnickel. They’re primarily sold at Walmart.
I really enjoyed meeting with other bloggers I know at Cosmoprof. It’s always cool to meet face to face and chat.
Thank you so much to Emily from Haus of Hounds and Stef from We Heart This for being amazing during Cosmoprof. I’m still so sad that Jen from My Beauty Bunny was so ill during this event.

Check out my stay at the Palazzo in Las Vegas.
I really loved attending Cosmoprof 2017 in Las Vegas. I would absolutely go back again. I felt like it was the perfect way to meet new brands, learn about new beauty products, and network with brands and bloggers. Being able to meet people face to face really makes a difference.
What do you think of Cosmoprof?
This event looks like it was so much fun! So many brands and products to try!
Sounds like an amazing time! Is it open to everyone? Or just bloggers and such? Definitely want all those moda brushes 🙂
It’s open to industry professionals. So anyone who does work in beauty.
You must have had an amazing time! You’ve inspired me to pull out my 6mm Contour Strips that I bought from HSN in January and actually try them. Thanks so much for the drug store setting spray rec! I’ve been using a Korean one but I’d prefer to buy one at the drugstore.
I hope you love it as much as I do!
I have to thank you SO MUCH for posting about the Contours RX on Instagram! One of my eyes is extremely more noticeably hooded than the other; I’ve tried eyelid tape and glue with little luck, and I’ve even resorted to becoming more serious about getting plastic surgery to fix it. After I saw your post about the Contours RX, I was blown away, and knew I needed to give them a shot! I got them in the mail yesterday and tried one this morning – I am so impressed! They evened out my eyelid, and it’s almost completely invisible on. I ordered the #6 but I might go for the #5 next time to make it even more symmetrical with my non-hooded eye. I think I’m going to try it with eyeshadow tomorrow! Thanks again!
Wow thanks so much for sharing.
Ahhhh yay! I’m so glad you were able to make it this year. I felt like I’ve known you forever but it was great to give you a hug and say hi. ❤️
I’m sorry we didn’t get to talk more! So glad we got to meet!
So happy that you focused on the healthy and green brands. Since they don’t get as much promotion, it’s great to learn about them. Hope we get to see some products in action.
