Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray
Today I’m sharing my Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray Review with you. It’s not often I rave about drugstore products but two recent releases from Milani have blown me away. You need this setting spray! It’s the best drugstore setting spray for dry skin.
Where to Buy Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray
CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Milani, Beauty Bay
A while back I ordered the Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray from Milani’s website because I couldn’t find it anywhere in stores near me. There are 9 places that sell Milani within 5 miles of my home. Not a single one of them have this Setting Spray in store when I last checked. It’s so frustrating! This is one of the reasons I get fed up with drugstore products. I vehemently wish Milani would be sold at Ulta. On the bright side, it now looks like it’s stocked at Walmart and available to be ordered online.
Price
$10 for 2.03 fl. oz. (from Milani, it’s less expensive at Walmart)

Milani says you can prime, set, and hydrate your skin while giving a boost of brightness with the Make It Dewy Spray. It’s supposed to lock in your makeup for up to 16 hours without creasing smudging or fading. They recommend keeping it in your makeup bag for an on the go glow. Milani suggests shaking well and then spraying in a zig zag motion across the face.
Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray Review
Now I have not used Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray as a primer. I have used this to set my makeup, hydrate my skin, and to take down the powdery look that I’ve had on occasion from setting my foundation all over with a setting powder.
I’ve tried Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray both in the hot, humid heat of Florida summer. I’ve tried it in the hot, dry heat of Nevada. No matter where I wear it, it works exactly as advertised for my dry skin. It’s lasted 14.5 hours in the heat and humidity for me. I believe it lasted over 16 hours in the dry heat of the desert. I use it with the Milani Prep Set Glow Illuminating Powder.
The Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray does an excellent job of locking in my makeup. It’s great at hydrating my face without making it too wet or causing my makeup to slide around. It excels at making my makeup meld into my skin. It does last up to 16 hours on me, no matter the weather. I’m seriously impressed!
When I was in Las Vegas recently, my friend Emily tried it and said it was an excellent drugstore dupe for the much more expensive Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray. They do have similar ingredients. The notable exception to my eyes is that the Milani contains fragrance, while the Cover FX does not. I’m actually shocked that the Milani doesn’t cause me to break out as 99% of things with fragrance normally do.
I love the Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray so much it has become part of my daily foundation routine. No matter what foundation I wear, I use it as the last step to seal in my makeup. Because of how well it works, the price point, and how it looks on my skin, I’m naming it the best drugstore setting spray for dry skin. If you have dry skin like I do, you need to give the Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray a try!
Oh so maybe Make it Last would be better for me then too probably? But either way thanks love! It’s really nice when you can find a drugstore product that you really love that really is not just a dupe but even actually better in some instances-I’ll definitely give it a try…Yes the weather here in the W. coast even though FL is hot-is the humidity. This summer we have had some really humid days but mostly it’s that dry oven type heat. Oh my gosh especially NEVADA-I remember my first time in FL, and this was in mid March, that was my first experience with humidity. Lebanon as well. I LOVE a spray product like that on the skin-like you said, sometimes in the heat, I will set my makeup and it will be just a tad powdery…I also like to use a spray product sometimes before I apply makeup, after moisturizer and before primer-and to refresh, whether I reapply or not. I haven’t tried the Cover FX one yet, so I think I’ll try this one instead. It sounds like a good dupe for the skindinavia sprays-I will compare it to the one I purchased
Yes Make It Last would be better for oily skin for sure!
I have got to try this one! I’ve only tried the Make it Last, and am on my second bottle, lol. I’ve got combination skin that’s (way) more on the dry side. I like it as primer, too, especially for lighter coverage, like BB cream or powder. I haven’t tried the Glow version of the powder, either, but I do love the matte Go finish to both prime and set. I’ll be trying both the ones you tried, too, now. Thanks for the great review!
With my oily skin, I don’t do “dewy,” but if this one is good, then I might try the Make It Last.
I think I have a combination skin, do you think any of those Milani sprays would work on me?
I think the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray would be better for your skin type.
