Best Vegan Makeup Palettes
I often get asked for recommendations on vegan makeup. Today I’m sharing my top 9 picks for the best vegan makeup palettes that you can currently find online. It can be tricky to find a vegan palette because often the ‘may contain’ section will list one of the dreaded ingredients a vegan never wants to see, such as carmine or beeswax. I’ve included a mix of limited edition and permanent palettes.
Pr+ purchased by me.
The Best Vegan Makeup Palettes
Saucebox Art Nouveau Palette
This quad contains 4 gorgeous, glowy shades. It has a metallic red, rich purple, lush green and pretty gold. (shown swatched with the eyeshadow single Nikki Beach.) It’s LE and currently on sale for $30 for the 4th of July Holiday Weekend (marked down from $37). The red and the purple are especially impressive in my opinion. Purple is be hard to do right and Saucebox nailed it with this one! Saucebox is made in the USA in California from high quality ingredients. Each pan contains 4 grams of product each, and they’re interchangeable with the Sugarpill eyeshadow quads. You can buy this vegan eyeshadow palette exclusively at Saucebox.
Kat Von D Serpentina Palette
This palette has been described as a dark rainbow palette. Obviously, I love the innovative packaging design. The palette is a mix of mattes, shimmers, and one loose shade. It’s available at Sephora and Kat Von D Beauty. LE.
Makeup Geek Vegan Bundle
Makeup Geek has a Vegan eyeshadow bundle that includes permanent eyeshadow shades of Barcelona Beach (sandy matte), Latte (medium brown matte), Mesmerized (deep taupe foil), Enchanted Forest (deep green matte), Time Travel (deep teal green grey matte), Houdini (deep emerald teal foil), Shimma Shimma (metallic champagne), Bedrock (medium grey matte), and Moondust (metallic silver taupe). I love that it’s not LE and it’s a pretty cool-toned palette. You can pick up this bundle for $50 at Makeup Geek.
Melt Cosmetics Radioactive Stack
The Melt Radioactive Stack is a permanent eyeshadow set that’s not for the faint of heart. Neon (yellow), Xenon (lime, my favorite), Radioactive (hot pink), and Radon (orange) are the 4 shades. Radon and Radioactive are not recommended in the USA for use on the eyes. They can be worn on the cheeks or lips. See my review. It’s $48 from Melt Cosmetics.
Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette
For those of you who want a neutral palette with a twist, the Beauty Killer palette offers staple neutrals plus fun shades. You have a great mix of mattes (a cream, a peachy brown, a deep brown, a hot pink, and a black matte with rainbow shimmer) and shimmers (gold, cranberry brown, plum brown, teal, and icy pink). Initially I was disappointed in the fact that this palette did not have a true purple, but you can blend Expensive (teal) and Violence (plum brown) to create a deep purple shimmer. You can also blend Star Power (hot pink matte) with Princess (icy pink) to create a shimmery midtone pink. This palette is hooded eye friendly. LE. Check out my review for more info.

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette
The Cari Bybel vegan makeup palette contains warm neutrals and plum brown shades. It also has face highlighters included. Many of you have recommended this palette. It’s available at BH Cosmetics or at Ulta. Best of all, it’s only $14.50. BH Cosmetics is Leaping Bunny Certified.
BH Cosmetics Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale Night Goddess
Warm eyeshadow palettes are a dime a dozen, whereas cool toned palettes are much harder to find. The Night Goddess is for those of you who crave cool tones. It has mattes, metallics and shimmers. It’s at BH Cosmetics and only $18. I found it when searching BH Cosmetics for Vegan Eyeshadows.

BH Cosmetics Foil Eyes 28 Color Palette
The Foil Eyes 28 Color palette is definitely for shimmery color lovers. My friend Mai has a great review and comparison of the palette that you should check out. It’s sold exclusively at BH Cosmetics for $12. BH Cosmetics has a surprisingly large vegan makeup section, too.
e.l.f. Eye Transformer Palette
In the hope that you want quadruple the size of your current eyeshadow collection and make the most out of what you already own, you need this transformer palette. It has iridescent shades that you layer on top of any other eyeshadow to add a duochrome effect or change the color. So you can shop your stash to invent new shades you love. Best of all? It’s only $3 and available at e.l.f. Cosmetics. I think you may be able to find it in stores at Target too.
It surprised me that tarte doesn’t currently have a single vegan eyeshadow palette. Urban Decay doesn’t currently make a vegan makeup palette either, though you can certainly put together your own vegan palette with their eyeshadow singles and the new 10 pan stackable eyeshadow palette.

The Saucebox Art Noveau swatches are stunning.
I want that Ashley Tisdale palette and the elf transformer!
When I read Mai’s review of the BH Foil I went to buy it but the shipping is too high. I think that is very pretty and would be fun to work with.
That Jeffree Star palette is gorgeous! I should really stop by BY at the next beauty show.
Great post! Shared
