Is Working Out a Hobby?

As you probably already know, working out is one of my hobbies along with blogging, makeup, YouTube, reading books, video games, gaming, and baking. Working out is my newest hobby in the sense that I’ve been doing it for the least amount of time, only over the past decade.

How Much Do You Exercise?

I walk 2.5 miles in the morning (around 35-45 minutes), workout in my home gym for around 30 minutes, and then walk another 2.5 miles (around 35-45 minutes) in the evening after dinner. I get at least 100 minutes of exercise a day, and that doesn’t count me chasing Nyx and Amaya around the yard for fun!

Dave and I work out together and walk together, so we’ve made working out into a hobby with a buddy system. We encourage each other to push ourselves to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. I want to live a long, healthy life with Dave, so working out is required.

I’m working hard to put on as much muscle as I can over the next several years, as it gets harder to put on muscle the older you get. Muscle is protective, so it’s important to do!

How to Get the Best Results With Working Out

I do want to point out that in my opinion and my experience, the way to get the best results with working out is consistency. Set a schedule and stick with it. I have push day, pull day, leg day, then a rest day. Leg day is always my hardest day, which is why I started using Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout on leg day to help me with it.

Even on my rest days, I’m still walking 5 miles a day. I’m also starting to incorporate more yoga on rest days to improve my flexibility.

What is a Pre-Workout Supplement?

What are pre-workout supplements? Pre-workout supplements are supplements that you can take to help improve your performance during a workout. They often help you to work out more efficiently or harder, so you can push yourself to your limits and see better results. Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout is my favorite pre-workout supplement that I’ve ever tried.

How do Pre-Workout Supplements Work?

How do pre-workout supplements work? From my understanding, pre-workout supplements increase your ability to focus, they boost your energy, increase blood flow, and help your endurance. They typically include ingredients like caffeine, creatine, and beta-alanine. Hot Tag Pre-Workout also has L-Citrulline.

Note, I’m very sensitive to caffeine. I quit daily caffeine intake almost 10 years ago at this point because it amps up my anxiety. I only use around 1/4 to 1/2 a scoop of Hot Tag and find that is enough for me. It makes it so much easier for me to get through leg day.

When Should I Take Pre-workout Supplements?

When should I take pre-workout supplements? I take Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout about a half-hour before I start leg day. I need the extra energy and help focusing because leg day drains me.

My leg day consists of a lot of Knees Over Toes exercises for mobility, lunges, tibia raises, calf raises, and different types of squats. I need to work on my hamstrings and flexibility to loosen them up.

Can I Take Pre-workout Supplements Daily?

Can I take pre-workout supplements daily? Some pre-workout supplements are designed to be taken daily. Read the label to see what the manufacturer’s instructions are and also pay attention to your body. If you’re sensitive to caffeine you may want to try 1/2 the normal dose to start.

Do Pre-workout Supplements Have Side Effects?

Do pre-workout supplements have side effects? Like any supplement, pre-workout supplements can have side effects. My personal experience with side effects have included jitteriness, increased heart rate, nausea, and full body tingling sensations. There may be other side effects.

However, I don’t experience these side effects while using Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout. Again, I never take more than 1/2 a scoop at most because I am sensitive to caffeine. And I only take it on leg day.

How Do I Choose the Right Pre-workout Supplement for Me?

How do I choose the right pre-workout supplement for me? The best supplement for you is going to depend on what your goals are, if you have any dietary restrictions, and how you tolerate certain ingredients. I’m grateful that the Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout is right for me because it gives me the extra energy I need to get through leg day without lagging.

Can I Take Pre-workout Supplements on an Empty Stomach?

Can I take pre-workout supplements on an empty stomach? No, I can’t do that with almost any supplement. My stomach is too sensitive to do that; I’ll throw up. Some people may be able to take pre-workout supplements on an empty stomach, I’m just not one of them.

What Does Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout Taste Like?

What does Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout taste like? It’s delicous, actually! It has a sour apple flavor that I love.

Can Pre-workout Supplements Help With Weight Loss?

Can pre-workout supplements help with weight loss? Ok, so in my opinion, working out and pre-workout supplements can help with weight loss, but those two together won’t cause weight loss.

If you truly want to lose weight, you need to make sustainable lifestyle changes to what you eat and how you eat. I’ve had a tumultuous relationship with food and I used to comfort food eat. It didn’t matter how much I worked out, I couldn’t lose weight because I didn’t change what I was putting into my body – lots of processed foods that weren’t good for me.

I made radical, sustainable changes to my lifestyle and changed my relationship with food. That is how I lost 40 lbs and have kept off 30 lbs. I gained 10 lbs back while working through burnout and depression.

I focus on eating whole foods as much as possible. I eat low carb, low sugar (added sugar sucks and is in so many things it doesn’t belong in), high healthy fats (like avocadoes and macadamia nuts), and high lean protein. I try to eat as close to 130 grams of protein a day, which is challenging!

Final Thoughts

Working out is for everyone! You can start at any age. There’s a saying, the best time to start working out is when you’re young. The second best time is now! If you struggle to get through a work out, Workhorse Supplements Hot Tag Pre-Workout might be what you need to get through it!
