How are you treating your hair this summer? Do you have any hair care tips to share? Let me know below!
great video/tips, thanks! Just wondering there are any suggestions for a rinse (or something like that) to use in between shampoos? I work out a lot and only wash my hair once a week, so I find that my hair gets sweaty dirty/the dry shampoo tends to build up/get gunky. Someone suggested a water/cider vinegar rinse but not sure what that does to colored hair…?
I would rinse with cool water. I use either cool water or dry shampoo (Batiste). I don’t touch vinegar.
OK thanks!
Really? Red dye is one of the fastest to fade (blue fades faster) so I would think you’d want to use red shampoos and conditioners or hair masks.
I don’t use hair treatment even in summer in fact I dyed it red and so far so good.
Great tips! The wide brim hats are also important for protecting our beloved virgin skin! haha
Yes! I’m glad I made myself suck it up and try the hat. With sunglasses, a hat and reapplying sunscreen, I do ok.
Great tips! I was planning on scouting your blog for hair dye stuff!
Hah, so glad that I can help! You can always email me too
Thanks for the recs! I love how vibrant your hair looks.
thank you! I haven’t dyed it in 6 weeks (aside from to touch up the teal streak, and that was at week 6).
First off, you look stunning with the emerald lipstick! I.love.it! And, Batiste Dry Shampoo is AMAZE. And, lastly, I didn’t know you made a hair mask! I need one in my life soon! <3
Thank you so much! Yes, I partnered with FutureDerm to create a hair mask.
I use 12 benefits spray. Not sure if it’s vegan though. But I think it really helps with conditioning and keeping the red in. Also I use a light weight argan oil in my hair before I blow dry. Right now in trying living proof products and I’m loving them. I love the smell, very fresh. I got the amped up volume paste, works pretty well against Florida’s heat/humidity. Got about half a day of volume for someone who has no volume in their hair whatsoever or holds volume very well, and it didn’t leave my hair sticky or hard feeling.
I forgot to mention argan oil. I love DermOrganic’s Spray therapy.
Yes to wide brimmed hat and I still need to try your hair masque!
I think you would love it!
I totally need to try your Pretty Little Elixir!
I think your hair would love it!
Hahaha that frame from your video made me giggle! One of these days I want to try your mask too!
Yay so happy I made you laugh 🙂 I was trying to get a funny image
lol! Love that pix. Yes to hair masques (and to Pretty Little Elixir!) and yes to hats! I love hats.
Yay! I’m glad one of us loves hats!
Fantastic tips!
Thanks Brooke!
Yes and yes to masks! My hair gets super dry in the Summer and practically drinks them up.
My hair always loves a good moisture mask too!
You def mentioned some of my faves!
So happy to hear it! I hope you found 1 or 2 new ones you like too
I still want to go funky with my hair color so I’m gonna book mark this post because I’ll need the tips.
Let me know if I can ever help, too!
I definitely trust you with hair advice!
Thanks Miranda! I really appreciate that
Love your hair masque and all things Batiste!
Batiste is the best for volume <3
What a great comprehensive list!
So glad you find it helpful Cindy!
Excuse me but I can not concentrate as your eye make up is like magic! WOW!!!
Aww thanks Sissi!
I often hydrate my hair with natural mandel or argen oil, it s important to protect my hair from the sun, the wind and the salt watter of tghe sea. Then I can take the oil away by taking a shower with my Vichy shampoo.
thank you for the nice tips!
I totally forgot to mention argan oil, which I do love. I have the spray type from DermOrganic.
Great tips!
So glad you find the tips helpful!
I always wear a hat, but more so for preventing light induced migraines versus protecting my hair. Of course now I have an even longer list of hair products I want to try! 😛
Oooh, glad it helps to prevent migranes!
I definitely need a new sun hat. Plus, I just have to share that the guy on the wall behind you (from Nightmare Before Christmas, right?) always looks so stunned by all the products you show us! LOL
Haha, yeah I have a set of 5 masks on the wall. I sometimes make speech bubbles in videos come out of their mouths
good tips!
So glad you like them Cin!
Thanks for the suggestions! I always keep an ear out for new hair products. With my curls I have to stay on top of caring for them or my hair turns into a giant mess.
I can only imagine!
Your hair always looks SO soft!! I definitely see a few things I want to try. Oh and I want to see the hat lol!!
Masks are definitely key to the softness
Great products!!
So glad you find them helpful Judy!
