Simple Smoked Cat Eye Liner

Simple Smoked Cat Eye Liner

Last week when I spent Wednesday and Thursday with Too Faced I went for a Simple Smoked Cat Eye Liner look. This was quick and easy and lasted all day. It accented my eyes nicely. The bright lips are always my favorite to pair with this makeup style. It doesn’t matter what color you choose – hot pink, purple, teal blue, red, or black – it will look good with this eye. Plus, it’s really fast to apply! Later in the evening I applied Melted Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia for a brighter glossy lip.

There isn’t an eyeshadow dark enough in the original Chocolate Bar palette for me to use the way I used Crave in this look. I should have used Licorice from the Semi-Sweet Chocolate bar. I should have switched Venus for Champagne Truffle from the original Chocolate Bar.

What did you think of the Too Faced HSN Today’s Special set? It was only available for 24 hours and it sold out pretty fast!

What are your favorite Too Faced products? Mine are the Shadow Insurance (obviously since I’ve used this daily for years), Lip Insurance (I feel like this is a sleeper hit), Candlelight Glow Duo (another product I’ve used for years),  the Melted Lipsticks, Better Than Sex Mascara and the Chocolate Bar.

  1. I love their Better than Sex Mascara, their Pink Leopard Bronzing Powder, and the heart-shaped blushes.

  2. I really loved the set! I’m so glad I snagged it, thanks for letting us know! I really love this tutorial because your technique with the cat eye is super simple and I personally like it smoked rather than precise! It really is beautiful on you and it really brightens your eye. It’s really a nice way to be able to feature a bold lip too(as I’m beginning to play with bolder lip colors!)

  3. Such a quick, easy and beautiful look. I think I need that necklace though.. I’m on her shop page now!!

  4. I like this cat eye on you – definitely wearable which I like and anyone can pull it off. I think that people have the common misconception that a cat eye needs to be bold…

  5. Such a pretty, wearable cat eye! I love the TF Sweethearts Candy Glow blush on you.

  6. Lovely daytime look. And Anime is a gorgeous shade. I haven’t looked for the OCC pencils in the store yet. I’m assuming they won’t have peppermint oil in them like the lip tars and I’ll be able to use them coz their shades are great.

    1. Definitely check them out. I wear them like lipsticks. I really like them and they don’t come off on my teeth (which is something I hate about gloss / some lipsticks).
