Sephora Spring 2020 Sale
Sephora Spring 2020 Sale
I wanted to let you know that the Sephora Spring Sale is on right now. Use the code SPRINGSAVE to get 20% off if you are Rouge, VIB get 15% off and Insider get 10% off. The sale goes from April 17 to May 1 for Rouge, April 21 to April 29 for VIB and April 23 to April 27 for Insider.
Because I’m currently unemployed, I mostly replaced skincare products I needed a refresh on. I also bought some mascaras as I’m currently on the hunt for the best curling + lengthening mascara. My lashes don’t hold a curl on their own so I need all the help I can get until I can do lash lifts again.
My Sephora Spring 2020 Sale Haul
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 – $44
I bought the limited edition jumbo 2.5 oz size because I love the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 and it’s my daily facial sunscreen. I don’t skimp on my sunscreen and use a large pea size amount daily on my face. The Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 has been my favorite SPF for over a year! It’s reef safe, cruelty free, gluten free, and vegan. It provides protection from blue light from cell phones and computers, which I use daily. It’s excellent on my dry sensitive skin with rosacea.
Supergoop! Defense Resetting Mist SPF 40 Mini – $14
I only use the Supergoop! Defense Resetting Mist SPF 40 Mini when I’m going to be outside at places like the beach or Disney to refresh my makeup. While I don’t think I’ll be at Disney anytime soon I like to have it on hand and I finished my last bottle of SPF setting spray. This setting spray is cruelty free, reef safe, gluten free and vegan.
Supergoop! Play Lip Balm SPF 30 – $9.50
I love the Supergoop! Play Lip Balm SPF 30. I’ve tried their various flavors in the past and I think I liked the minty one best but just having lip balm with SPF is good.
Tarte Maracuja Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer – $29
I have had so many of you reach out to ask me to review the Tarte Maracuja Hydrating Tinted Moisturizer. I bought the shade 10N fair neutral to try. I wish they had a mini available in what I believe is my color! Regardless I will be able to do a wear test and review on this product for you. It claims to be “a vegan, ultralightweight tinted moisturizer that delivers sheer coverage while infusing skin with maracuja super fruit for up to 12 hours of hydration and wear. This skincare-infused, finger-application-friendly formula delivers sheer, buildable coverage to help visibly even out skin tone and minimize the appearance of imperfections. Infused with maracuja oil, hyaluronic acid, vegan collagen, turmeric, and aloe, the formula hydrates, soothes, and helps brighten skin’s appearance.”
Kosas Revealer Concealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer – $28
While I’m still firmly in love with my Clove + Hallow Concealer & my Milk Makeup Flex Concealer, I had many of you tell me I’m missing out when it comes to the Kosas Revealer Concealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer so I thought I would give it a try. I have several other Kosas products to review, so I can even do a one brand tutorial with them for you.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1- Mascara Mini – $12
I’m honestly searching for the best cruelty free CURLING + Lengthening mascara. This one lengthens, curls, volumizes and conditions, all things I need. I’m buying mascara minis until I can find my perfect formula. I remember loving this formula in the past.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara Mini – $14
The Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara Mini claims to give ultimate volume at the center lash line, where I struggle. I remember adoring this mascara formula in the past.
It will come as no surprise to many of you that I mostly replenished my SPF products during this Sephora Spring 2020 Sale with the brand Supergoop. I use Supergoop or Coola for my SPF needs. Supergoop is typically soothing with my finicky skin.
I do have to recommend the Supergoop! Shimmershade Illuminating Cream Eyeshadow SPF 30 in First Light and Golden Hour. I own these two. I love them for no makeup days or minimal makeup days. I also enjoy using them as a base for other eyeshadows. I’ve been curious about Daydream, as it looks like it could be a rose gold? I love these and wish they came in duochrome colors.
Milk Makeup Giving Back
Earlier this month, Milk Makeup’s website had a 1 day sale (which did not overlap with the Sephora Spring 2020 Sale) where all the proceeds went to the first responders in NYC, so I bought several Milk Makeup products from Milk that I would have purchased from Sephora. Milk Makeup raised $106,264.31 in 24 hours in collaboration with the Wu-Tang Clan.
Milk Makeup Glow Oil in Flare – $15
Flare is a coral orange shimmery blush, perfect for summer.
Milk Makeup Mini Holographic Stick in Mars – $15
Mars is a holographic golden peach, which should be pretty with Flare.
Milk Makeup Melatonin Overnight Lip Mask – $22
The Milk Makeup Melatonin Overnight Lip Mask claims to replenish, hydrate and calm you so you wake up with softer, smoother, plumper lips. I’m curious how this works! The Melatonin Serum is on my wish list too!
Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Cleanser – $15
The Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Cleanser mini is specifically formulated to target redness and dryness, two of my primary skin concerns. I’m curious to see how I like it compared to the Milk Matcha Cleanser, which is for redness, dryness and uneven skintone.
And they gave a ton of freebies including Wu-Tang x Milk Makeup Flow Lipstick, Vegan Milk Moisturizer Sample, Kush High Volume Mascara Sample, and Vegan Milk Cleanser Pod Sample. My Milk Makeup order should arrive today.
Sephora Spring 2020 Sale Wish List
I normally always recommend using things like the Sephora Spring 2020 Sale to stock up on your staple products, like skincare. Watch my Spring 2020 Skincare Routine for my current staple products. I buy the biggest bottle of Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner to clean my makeup brushes. I’m normally not unemployed, so I would indulge in an eyeshadow palette or two. Below are the things currently on my Sephora Spring 2020 Sale wish list.
- Natasha Denona Love Palette – This just looks like a beautiful palette made for me with pinks, purples, and burgundies.
- Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Palette -The Mix of teals, purples, pinks and dusty, muted shades just speaks to me. I love all of the Huda complex shimmer shades and their mattes.
- Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Blush – I’d love to try one of these in Drama Cla$$ (soft violet) or Bikini Martini (soft bubblegum pink)
- Aether Beauty Crystal Charged Cheek Palette – I’ve had so many people tell me that Aether Beauty was made for me, but I think this cheek palette is the first thing that’s really piqued my interest. The Rose Quartz set looks lovely.
- Supergoop! Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 – I am curious about this but because it has lavender in it I’m afraid it would make me break out. I wish I could get a deluxe sample to try first.
- Supergoop! CC Cream SPF 35 in Fair to Light – I’ve had several people tell me that the lightest shade should be fair enough for me and I should give it a try. I feel like I tried it years ago and it was too dark. I wish Sephore carried deluxe samples of it so I could try it again.
If you have suggestions for the best cruelty-free curling mascara, please let me know! Bonus points if it adds length.
Sorry to hear you are unemployed. Hope you can get through it.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir and O!Mega are my favorite mascaras. I have straight, fine, sparsh lashes – nothing keeps them curled; I’ve tried over 50 mascaras, including Tarte and the Milk Kush you mentioned. The Kush had great potential right up until it flakes at 4-5 hrs. It gives the best volume and length, but black spots on my cheeks are a no go (wear contacts so flakes contribute to eye irritation). I just grabbed a sample of Ilia Limitless Mascara with my point, it’s a no go and I also just tried Thrive. Nope.
I’m on an eye-palette and lippie no-by; my Sephora VIB was replenishing skin care, and I passed on a couple staples (Algenist Genius Vit C and Sunday Riley Good Genes). I’m not committed to Sephora anymore. The Rouge membership has been downgraded so much, I’m watching brand sales now, which are often better % off.
I am crying over the plight of the retail market, I’m so brick and mortar. Just going to a mall to browse lifts my spirits. Not to mention all that returning from mail order because only 1 of 10 items I order ever fit plus I like to see/feel fabric.
Stay safe, stay strong!
I ordered some Milk stuff from the Sephora sale: The Watermelon Brightening Serum mini, the Holographic eye liner pencil, and a few of the stamps.
