Purple Mani for Lupus

butter LONDON Stroppy purple nail polish mani

The Central Florida Beauty Bloggers got together to create purple looks for Lupus. I created a purple mani for lupus for this linkup. I kept it simple and created a purple mani with butter LONDON Stroppy.

Purple Mani for Lupus

Stroppy is from the Lolly Brights collection. It’s described as ‘full coverage, bright purple flaring shimmers in gel-like base.’ To me it’s a gorgeous rich purple with blue and red micro-shimmers.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease that occurs in women more than men (like 9 out of 10 cases are women). It has no cure, but can be treated and managed. It affects the major organs, even the skin and joints It’s not easy to diagnose. You can learn more at the Lupus Organization. There’s also a Florida Chapter. And our very own Mina from MinaSlater.com has lupus.

This is two coats plus top coat. I tried to get it so that the camera would show the micro-shimmers.

  1. I was inspired to try the new purple polish (Mardi Gras) I got from the exploratory box of stuff I ordered from Jordana Cosmetics. It looks nice on the nails, but was kind of fussy to apply… My favorite might be Baptiste from Illamasqua.

  2. I keep finding new purples that I absolutely need in my stash and this is probably now at the top of the list. Gorgeous color!

  3. I love all the different mani’s for lupus. My sister has lupus and she had problems for years before she was diagnosed including a major stroke when she was 18 that left her completely paralyzed on her right side. I have had problems that have led drs to think auto immune problems but nothing like my sisters. Therefore I am always interested in anything concerning lupus.

  4. Thank you for this! I was diagnosed with lupus 4 years ago and it’s so frustrating sometimes when no one knows what it is! Every little bit helps 🙂
