Purple Cut Crease Tutorial
Cruelty-Free Purple Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial
Thank you Colorescience for sponsoring this cruelty-free makeup tutorial! The opinions and text are all mine.
I’m very excited to be sharing this cruelty-free purple cut crease makeup tutorial with you all! You guys asked me to create a makeup tutorial on my eyeshadow style from the past 2 videos (Press Samples I’ve Repurchased and my Eyeshadow Palette Collection).
This chatty video shows you how I did it! I’ve never seen anyone else on YouTube use this method to create a cut crease on hooded eyes. While I use the Kat Von D Pastel Goth (which was LE and discontinued) for this smokey cut crease tutorial, you could use the Sigma Creme de Couture palette or Darling Girl Matte eyeshadows. I also used the Kylie Purple Palette and Stila Cloud. Stila Cloud is what makes this look so glam!
About Colorescience Total Eye 3-in- 1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 Primer
I’m thrilled to be telling you about the Colorescience Total Eye 3-in- 1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 Primer! This is a lightly tinted neutral peach color-correcting eye primer that also has SPF 35 and skincare benefits. It blends out beautifully on the eyes and I’ve gotten great wear with it. You can also reapply as necessary if you’re out in the sun. It doesn’t cause caking under the eyes.
It’s available for pre-order today and will officially launch on Feb. 1st at Colorescience.com. Each tube is a 60 day supply based on twice a day usage.
To give you an idea of what Colorescience Total Eye 3-in- 1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 Primer looks like, I swatched it next to some of my other tinted eyeshadow primers. UD Enigma is more of a nude peach, while Colorescience Total Eye 3-in- 1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 Primer is a lighter peach. UD Eden is a light yellow beige. KVD Fair is a light peachy pink.
In the cruelty-free makeup tutorial video you can see how easy it is to use Colorescience Total Eye 3-in- 1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 Primer as a color correcting concealer under the eyes. It works great as a primer too!

Purple Cut Crease Tutorial Video
I hope you enjoyed learning this new technique for creating a cut crease on hooded eyes! I’ve been able to do a cut crease easily with the blink method.
I really love the Colorescience Total Eye 3-in- 1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 Primer because it works well as an eyeshadow primer, it doesn’t cake up under the eyes, and my eyeshadow lasts all day on it. It also provides enough color correcting for me to function as a concealer.
What do you think of my cruelty-free purple cut crease makeup tutorial? Let me know if you decide to check out the Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 product, too!
This look is totally gorgeous. And sun protection for the eye area is so overlooked. I have been hoarding and am on my last tube of a sunscreen that 100% Pure used to make and discontinued. I was so sad because it is non irritating to the eye area. And I can’t understand how people use retinoids without an eye friendly SPF. With all the redundant products out there (warm palettes, ahem), it’s so great that Colorscience developed a multi-use product that has multiple attributes people actually need. I am so checking this out.
Thank you so much! I loved creating this look and the Colorescience spf 37 is great. I love that their site says it is a 2 months supply, too.
This look is incredible. Your angles at the V and outer lid are amazing. They’re perfection. I swore I’d buy Kylie’s purple palette after the last look I saw you do using it…and I haven’t yet. I hope it’s still online.
Wow what a great finished look. I’m going to check color science out!
Beautiful look!! The primer looks really nice, I don’t like tacky primers that emphasize texture around my eyes. Sun protection is also a big plus!
It’s so good! I’m impressed with how it looks on me.
Beautiful look! ?
Thank you so much!
It is so easy to forget that our eyes are susceptible to sun damage, so this is great! I really adore this look. I can’t say that enough! It makes me think of fantasy video games and books.
They really need extra protection! I love that it makes you think of fantasy games and books 🙂
Sweet! An eyeshadow Primer with SPF! I usually leave my eye area without SPF so my liner stays put. I love the eye look! Did everything stay in place throughout the day?
Yes, it doesn’t budge! I’ve worn it several times now.
I’m mildly obsessed with your eye look here! The Colorescience product looks like it would be great under my eyes. I love that there’s SPF in it! I’ll have to check this brand out more, I know Emily Wolf likes them
Thank you! Emily has great taste. I love her!
I’m so glad you did a tutorial on this look! And a new primer, to boot! If it worked good on your hooded eyes, it might work for mine. I’ll definitely check it out. Off to watch the vid.
I think it will work for you too!
