I started using the Calm Redness Relief Serum after I tried the Calm Redness Relief 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant and immediately fell in love. I have suffered from blotchy, red skin for as long as I can remember. Once I received this serum I started using it twice a day. I love that it has a light, almost watery texture that absorbs quickly.

Between this serum, the Calming BHA lotion, and the Skin Recovery Replenishing Moisturizer, my skin has never looked better. I’m actually waking up some mornings with no redness in my face! I don’t know if that has ever happened since I became an adult, until I tried this winning combination.

For my sensitive, rosacea skin, this is incredibly soothing and gentle. It actually seems to calm my face. The other amazing thing (aside from me actually waking up some mornings with no redness) is that I haven’t had to take my Oracea pills in over a month. Before I was taking them every other day, unless I had a flare up or break out and then I would take it daily. I haven’t had a break up or flare out since I switched to this skincare routine. Now while I’m not going to dump my Oracea prescription any time soon, the less I have to take it, the better.

Paula’s Choice says that this serum will help reduce redness from more than just rosacea. It’s supposed to also help reduce redness from dry skin, allergic reactions, irritation, acne and sunburn.

I am using this religiously twice a day – in the morning and at night. I will also use it if I have to wash my face at any point, to help keep my skin happy. I do sometimes layer the Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum on top of the Calm Redness Relief Serum, because I am a serum junkie and I love treating  my skin as kindly as I can.

If you suffer from sensitive skin, rednesss or rosacea like I do, I highly recommend you check out the Calm Redness Relief Serum. It has been amazing for me. It’s my new HG!

What is your holy grail serum?

  1. This sounds so amazing, I was told once by a derm, that I did not have rosacea, but I do think I have a mild form of it, plus my blood vessels sit really close to the top of my skin, so I am forever super red on my cheeks, chin, and neck. I’ll for sure have to give this a try very soon.

  2. I don’t have a “holy grail” serum, but I have been using the PC ones for years. I usually use the Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum, but I’ve been trying out the Super Light version.

  3. I sometimes get redness in my cheeks and nose. It’s not severe, but it’s annoying.

  4. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Paula’s Choice, but oddly I’ve never tried her products. I’m a huge fan of serums though. Maybe this is the one I should try out!

  5. My favorite serum is the Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Serum with Retinol. I have dry to very dry skin with severe hypersensitivity.

I love this serum because it delivers Retinol to my skin without making my skin go berserk. I haven’t experienced any irritation from it and I have been using it once a day! I never thought I’d be able to use a product with Retinol in it bc my skin is incredibly sensitive. *o/* The texture is similar to honey but I’ve grown to like it! It feels soothing against my skin and goes well with the other products I use. It needs a couple minutes to “set” but I’m happy to oblige! .< All of these things have cleared up and I know this serum played a BIG part! My skin also looks brighter and has more clarity! *o/*

I'm testing part of your routine right now! It's from your "Skincare Routine for Anti-aging, Rosacea, Sensitive and Dry Skin" video
    – you talk about applying the Calm Redness Relief Serum before the Super Antioxidant Serum. I did patch tests of both serums layered – the skin on my arms in the test areas is SO SOFT and had ZERO IRRITATION!!! *o/* I'm testing it on a small area of my face today and so far so good! *EXCITED*

Thank you so much for this review (and sharing your routine)! I am sooooo happy to hear your skin is getting better and better!!! <333
