Hello, Hex Squad! Today I’m sharing my Nyx Beetlejuice Palette Review with you. I’ve also included the two lip products I purchased from this limited edition release. It’s actually a very large collection, as it also includes a cheek palette, dual ended eyeliners, under eye patches, makeup sponges and more. I purchased these products from Ulta Beauty, as the last time I purchased from the Nyx website I had a very negative experience.

Nyx states that the Beetlejuice Palette has been curated by pro makeup artists in L.A. to be flattering on all skin tones. It’s a cruelty-free and vegan eyeshadow formula and claims to provide vibrant, one swipe color.

Sadly, this is an eyeshadow formula that contains talc. I’ve been asked to mention if products contain talc in my reviews from several of you.
About the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Sandworm Swirls Butter Gloss Non-Sticky Lip Glosses
Inspired by the new movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, coming out September 6 in theatres, there are 4 limited edition shades available. Nyx claims that these glosses are smooth, creamy, and comfortable color and shine that will leave your lips feeling buttery smooth and shining all day long. They recommend that you use these for a pop of gorgeous color, or layer on top of your favorite lippie for a high-shine finish. These appear to be cruelty-free but not vegan.

I did brush swatches of the Nyx Beetlejuice Palette on Devinah eyeshadow primer. Also included are swatches of the lip products on my arms and lips.

It makes me sad that some brands don’t even bother to add shade descriptions to products anymore. Here are my descriptions of the colors in the Beetlejuice Color for the Recently Deceased palette.
Eyeshadow Shade Descriptions
- stark white matte
- metallic silver shimmer
- cool-toned taupe matte
- electric lime green shimmer
- cool-toned metallic pinky-purple shimmer
- cool toned mid-tone pinky-purple matte
- deep royal blue metallic shimmer
- black satin
For the Sandworm Swirl Butter Lip Glosses, which are apparently lack names, I purchased:
- 03 purple + red
- 04 black + white
All 4 lip shades are currently in stock at Ulta.
Nyx claims that these are 1 swipe vibrant shades that stand out on a variety of skin tones. Every shade required one tap of the brush on the eyeshadow palette except the blue, which required 2.
Other Notable Products
While I didn’t buy the dual color eyeliners from this collection, they do look nice. There’s also a cute makeup sponge and case, as well as reusable eye patches. I wanted to make sure to mention these other items in my Nyx Beetlejuice Palette review so that you would know they were out there in case you were interested in them.

I put together a super quick Lydia eye look from the first Beetlejuice movie with the palette. I used the iridescent black on my lid and lined the lower lash line with it, the taupe matte went into the crease, and I couldn’t resist the electric lime green on the lower lid. Very minimal fallout from these eyeshadows and I was pleased with the formula. Nyx eyeshadows can be hit or miss for me, but this collection is a win.
Final Thoughts
The Nyx Beetlejuice Color for the Recently Deceased palette is Cordelia approved! The color payoff is good in this one. I also really like the two lip butter glosses. The formula feels nice. Wish they were iridescent too!
