Natasha Denona Love Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

I have very fair skin with a neutral to cool yellow undertone. My best foundation matches currently are: Milk Makeup Flex Stick in Porcelain, Smashbox Hydrating Foundation in .1, Juvia’s Place Shade Stick in Tokyo, Idun Minerals Nordic Veil in Jorunn, Clove + Hallow Skin Tint in 1, and Nyx Born to Glow Foundation in Pale.  I swatched these on Urban Decay Original Primer Potion.

I really like the hard plastic packaging that the Love palette comes in. I truly appreciate that the names of each color are clearly printed beneath each eyeshadow. The palette has a mirror, which I know is important to a lot of people. The only way the palette could be better to me is if the colors were arranged from light to dark.

My favorite colors in this palette are Heart, Soul, Intense, Pure Love, Giving, Lifetime, Transparent, Blind, Heartbeat and Passion. Most of the colors in the Natasha Denona Love Eyeshadow Palette work beautifully for me. I struggled a bit with Dream and Trust, but found that if I layered them on top of a lighter pink or purple matte I got much better results.

To apply this palette, first I start with my lightest color (either a base or transition shade) and apply it with my large fluffy Bdellium 787. Second, I switch to a Sigma E25 to apply my bright and bold color in my crease that I fake because I have hooded eyes. Third, I use my tiniest blending brush, the Sigma E36, to deepen the outer corner of my eyes. Fourth, I dampen my  Urban Decay Moondust Brush to apply the shimmers to my lid. Fifth, I take a tiny Sigma E21 detail brush to highlight under my brows or at the inner corner. Then I just finish with liner or a dark eyshadow smudged at the roots of my lashes.

Overall, I love the Natasha Denona Love Eyeshadow Palette. If you are someone who loves a palette that is balanced with mattes and shimmers, I think you’ll love this palette. If you love reds and purples, I think you’ll enjoy this palette. If you’re into strictly neutrals, I’d skip this because it’s really bold and beautiful.
