Meow Cosmetics Shades of Meow Volume 1 Swatches
Recently, Meow Cosmetics released a collection called Shades of Meow Volume 1, as a sort of spoof off of the 50 Shades of Grey books. Volume 1 is available for 60 days only. Volume 2 (10 colors) will be released next, and also available for 60 days only. There will be 5 volumes in total, for a total of 50 shades of Meow. Then for 60 days, all 50 colors will be available. At the end, the 10 most popular / best selling shades will become the final Shades of Meow and available permanently on Valentine’s Day 2014. This is SUCH a cool idea for how to create a collection, based on customer favorites. Volume 1 will be gone on April 17, 2013.

All of these shades are swatched on Gosh eyeshadow primer. Remember, everyone sees colors differently. These are my interpretations of the colors.

Lovely, bright bronzey gold. Easily my favorite.
Handcuffs

Kink

Olive metallic, really pretty. Very mercurial, changing depending on how you move your hand.

Pain is my favorite in this collection, hands down. I also like Bondage and Kink. Hancuffs is pretty, as is Dominatrix.

The colors are nice but I really can’t wait to see Volume II! (Not that I’ll be able to buy them but I can drool over swatches).
Volume I is pretty, but Volume II looks so up my alley. I can’t wait to see swatches!

I really love the looks of handcuffs… and Kink! Kink kinda looks like snakebite from Naked 2 palette maybe?
meowmisu I don’t actually own the Naked or Naked 2 palette, just Basics, so I can’t compare them.
meowmisu Kink is a little bit darker than Snakebite, and also quite a bit more olive/green/gold.
These actually are scheduled to be taken down TODAY (4/10)–there was a typo on their site…but maybe they will honor the typo! (FWIW submission, spank, handcuffs, pleasure and kink are my favorites…just ordered an extra Submission, actually.)
woolyowl I emailed them about that! Their website has said 4/17, but I saw on their FB 4/10. Haven’t heard back.
