Lather Sweet Almond Exfoliating Creme Review

I’ve gone and fallen in love with the Lather Sweet Almond Exfoliating Creme. Lather is a new-to-me brand but I can see why makeup artists love them.

About Lather Sweet Almond Exfoliating Creme
Gentle enough for sensitive skin, this exfoliating cream contains bamboo and jojoba beads to exfoliate the skin and remove dead surface cells.

Lather products are made from high quality ingredients and don’t contain synthetic fragrances or colors. They last for 6 months to 1 year once you open them. I was happy to hear that Lather is an environmentally friendly company. They’ve started transitioning their packaging to plastic made with EcoPure, which is an FDA compliant organic compound mixed with plastic. EcoPure helps to accelerate biodegradation in an environment like a landfill.

I love that this is a creme-based exfoliant. The exfoliants in this product are teeny tiny grains that gently but effectively buff away the dead skin cells on my face to reveal smooth skin. It claims to be gentle enough for sensitive skin, and my face agrees. Because of the thick creamy texture, it leaves my skin feeling a little moisturized afterwards, but make sure you rinse well.

It has a very faint hint of sweetness, possibly almond, but I can barely smell anything, probably because of my allergies.

One thing I’d like to point out is that this scrub contains jojoba beads. Jojoba beads are made from a biodegradable natural wax and they exfoliate gently like microbeads, but they’re a non-abrasive exfoliant. However, unlike microbeads, they’re better for the environment and less likely to cause pollution. So if you’re looking to replace your favorite scrub with microbeads this might be a great alternative for you!

  1. My allergies are sucky right now, which is driving me nuts because I can’t smell anything. This sounds really nice… I especially like that it has a sweetness scent to them.

  2. You had me at cream-based exfoliant! I also love the smell of almond-based products! SOLD!

  3. I love almond scent (though I like to be able to smell it!), and products from LATHER are wonderful. Good to put on my wish list for when I finally finish up the two jars of exfoliating scrub I still have!
