Kilian Princess Perfume Review
My love affair with Kilian Princess Perfume started with a free sample from Sephora, as I mentioned. I researched the brand and determined they were indeed cruelty-free, so I felt zero guilt purchasing a travel spray of this perfume when the sample ran out. I loved it so much I bought a second travel spray when I lost the first. During one of the recent Sephora sales I ended up buying a full size bottle.
For me to have such an obsession with a scent is rare. The last department store perfume that I fell this hard for was TokyoMilk Dark Tainted Love. I own that in every format I could find, including a solid perfume, travel spray, vanity bottle and even a hand cream!
I do not like traditional perfumes, especially overly flowery scents. I just don’t enjoy them at all on me. So I often avoid most of the perfumes you can pick up at Sephora for two reasons – one, most aren’t cruelty-free perfumes, and two, most don’t smell good to me.
I am a sexy gourmand scent fan and I love most things with a vanilla base, and Princess is no exception. When I wear Kilian Princess perfume I smell warm vanilla, sweet marshmallow, very subtle green tea and slightly spicy ginger on my skin. It’s very comfy and sexy on me.
On my skin I feel like this lasts about an hour very strong, then fades to a more subdued scent close to my skin with very little throw. After about 5 hours I can’t really detect it anymore. I wish it lasted longer! On a typical day I spritz it on me two or three times.
I also love to layer this perfume with other scents, such as my Cocoa Pink Bonfire Pumpkins or TokyoMilk Dark Tainted Love. It also smells good with leather-based scents.
If you love sexy gourmand scents, Kilian Princess is for you. If you don’t like sexy foodie scents, you should skip this one.
Thanks for this! I was recently on the hunt for my new signature scent and I’m still reading reviews and trying things. I’ve discovered Imaginary Authors and they’re stuff is di-voon! Have you ever tried any of their scents? They’re vegan and I believe cruelty-free as well.
That first “they’re” should be “their.” Oy vey. I really need more sleep.
I will have to check this one out. I love the Kissing Eau de Parfum (Kissing Burns 6.4 Calories… ) from Kilian. I am glad to see that they are cruelty free. Kissing is also a vanilla scent; it is warm and powdery. It is a very close snuggly kind of fragrance perfect for the colder months. The notes of Kissing are Lily of the Valley, Hot Milk, Sugar Candy
