Kiara Sky Gel Nail Polish Swatches
Kiara Sky Gel Nail Polish Swatches
Hello beautiful people! Today I’m sharing my Kiara Sky Gel Nail Polish Swatches with you. As you know, I’ve become a gel nail addict. I thought it would be fun to share swatches of my Kiara Sky Gel Nail Polish collection with you. I also wanted to add a little bit of extra, so you get swatches of the plain color, along with what it looks like with 3 different glitters.
In case you’re wondering what to make for Friendsgiving this year, here’s my low carb menu. Looking to do some shopping? I’ve got you covered with the biggest and best list of Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales Roundup!
About Kiara Sky
For those of you who don’t know, Kiara Sky is a cruelty-free indie nail polish brand. They make gel, dip, and original polish.
You can buy Kiara Sky from Kiara Sky and sometimes find them on Amazon. They have some awesome Black Friday Bundles.
I just purchased their Flash Cure Cube to make it easier to put on tips. I talk more about the Kiara Sky tips down below.
About the Swatches
I took these photos outside in direct afternoon sunlight. It was windy AF, so there are some random bits of grass and even a tiny ant that tried to get into the photos. For each color I did 2 coats of color and a top coat. For each color with glitter I did 2 coats of color, 1 coat of glitter, and a top coat.
Thermals
I purchased 3 of the Kiara Sky Thermals to try out. Pumpkin Carriage is an orange to salmon thermal. Mystical Journey is a bright green to medium green. Black Rose is black with red glitter to dark red glitter.
I don’t know if my bottles are bad or what but these are three of the most disappointing thermals I’ve ever tried. Their shift is very subtle and they are my least liked out of my collection. Because I am not fond of these and they have very subtle color change, I did not bother to swatch them with glitter on top. This formula also felt very gloopy / lumpy, unlike the rest of my Kiara Sky gel nail polish colors.
Glitters
Here are the three Kiara Sky glitters I love. On top we have Iceberg, described as multi-colored holographic glitter. Vegas Strip is turquoise glitter. Purple Spark is purple and silver glitter.
Black to Black
Kiara Sky Black to Black is a black creme polish. It’s shown above with 2 coats, wish it was a one coat black but I have yet to find that in gel. From top to bottom we have Black to Black on its own. Second is with a coat of Iceberg on top. Third is with a coat of Vegas Strip. Fourth and final is Purple Spark on top.
When I don’t know what color to wear, I opt for black. Black to Black is a fabulous black creme polish in two coats.
Black Tie
Kiara Sky Black Tie is a sheer black. It looks fabulous with glitter over it! First I used Iceberg, then second I used Vegas Strip, and I finished with Purple Spark.
I don’t know why I did two coats, because it’s ok for it to be sheer! I bought Black Tie for nail art and haven’t worn it yet. I really love how Black Tie looks with Vegas Strip on top.
Let’s Get Sirius
Kiara Sky Let’s Get Sirius is a deep shimmery midnight blue. The shimmer is subtle to my eyes. Below that we have it swatched with Iceberg, followed by Vegas Strip, and finally Purple Spark.
My favorite way to wear Let’s Get Sirius is with Vegas Strip or Purple Spark on top.
Chill Pill
Kiara Sky Chill Pill is described as a deep steel blue creme. Below Chill Pill, I have it swatched on Iceberg, then Vegas strip, and Purple Spark.
I love to wear Chill Pill with Vegas Strip or Iceberg.
Kiara Sky Side Hu$tle
Kiara Sky Side Hu$tle is described as a near-black seaweed green with blue undertones. Shown with Iceberg on top, then Vegas Strip, and finally Purple Spark for these Kiara Sky gel nail polish swatches.
I LOVE this color! It’s my favorite out of all my darker blues and grees. My favorite way to wear Side Hu$tle is with Vegas Strip on top. This is the color I’m striving to achieve with my hair.
Green With Envy
Kiara Sky Green With Envy is a super bright neon green creme. I put Iceberg on it, followed by Vegas Strip, then Purple Spark.
In my opinion, Green With Envy looks best when worn on its own or with a light layer of Iceberg on top. It’s gonna be killer for black and green nail art.
Dream Illusion
Kiara Sky Dream Illusion is described as a ruby red with red glitter. It reminds me of Dorothy’s shoes from the Wizard of Oz. From top to bottom below Dream Illusion we have Iceberg on top, followed by Vegas Strip, and then Purple Spark.
I love Dream Illusion on its own or with Purple Spark on top.
Kiara Sky Amulet
Kiara Sky Amulet is described as a deep amethyst shimmer in navy blue tones. My camera tried to make this very blue but I color corrected it to look more like what I see in person. Amulet is a very blue-toned purple, my favorite. It reads as a creme finish to me. I’ve shown Amulet here on its own, then with Iceberg on top, followed by Vegas Strip, and finished with Purple Spark.
I love Amulet with any of these glitters on top! I love seeing how the glitters can transform these Kiara Sky gel nail polish swatches.
Grape Your Attention
Kiara Sky Grape Your Attention is a beautiful vivid neon purple creme. After Grape Your Attention on its own, I’ve layered it with Iceberg, then Vegas Strip, and Purple Spark.
Grape Your Attention is a beautiful warm neon purple on its own or as the base for a glitter or holo polish.
Charming Haven
Kiara Sky Charming Haven is a beautiful orchid purple creme. I layered Iceberg on top of it first. Second, I layered Vegas Strip on Charming Haven. third, I layered Purple Spark on it.
Charming Haven is so pretty with Iceberg and Purple Spark on top.
Chinchilla
Kiara Sky Chinchilla is a light dusty purple with grey undertones. Shown with Iceberg, then Vegas Strip, and Purple Spark.
Chinchilla is sort of a neutral purple to me because of the cool grey undertones.
Chit Chat
Kiara Sky Chit Chat is described as a pale lilac mixed with pastel pink. I layered Iceberg, followed by Vegas Volt, and finished with Purple Spark.
I love how Chit Chat looks with Iceberg on top. I bought Chit Chat for nail art marbling with purple. I would have never tried Chit Chat with Iceberg if I wasn’t playing around to create these Kiara Sky gel nail polish swatches for you.
Kiara Sky Don’t Be Jelly
Kiara Sky Don’t Be Jelly is described as a sheer purple. It’s a sheer cool-toned purple to me. First shown on its own. Second shown with Iceberg on top. Third shown with Vegas Strip on top. Fourth and final shown with Purple Spark on top.
Like Black Tie, I don’t know why I did 2 coats of Don’t Be Jelly. It should be fine in one thin coat for nail art, which is why I bought it.
Kiara Sky Gel Nail Polish Swatches
I took these Gel Nail Polish Swatches inside at my nail art desk. To my eyes these appear more color accurate than the outdoor photos.
From left to right we have Black to Black, Black Tie, Black Rose (thermal), Dream Illusion, and Pumpkin Carriage (thermal).
From the left we have Iceberg, Vegas Strip, Let’s Get Sirius, Chill Pill, Side Hu$tle, Mystical Journey (thermal), and Green With Envy.
This is definitely the most color accurate photo for the purples. From the left we have Amulet, Grape Your Attention, Charming Haven, Chinchilla, Chit Chat, Don’t Be Jelly, and Purple Spark.
Gel Nail Polish Thoughts
Overall, I really enjoy the Kiara Sky Gel Nail Polish formula. I hope you are inspired to play with glitter on top of your polishes soon. I will be doing a ton of swatches with all the gel polish I purchase during Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales. I’ve made a spreadsheet for myself to help me keep my gel polish organized. I’ve got it broken into categories by color and finish, such as purples, blues, greens, cat eyes, holographic, flakies, iridescent glow and glitters. I’m relying on this to help me be more creative with my nail art.
I did recently purchase the Kiara Sky Gelly Tips in Short Almond and Short Stiletto. I LOVE these tips! The Kiara Sky tips fit my extremely flat nail beds better than my Apres Natural Short Stiletto tips. If you have super flat nail beds like I do, I highly recommend checking out the Kiara Sky Gelly Tips.
There are only two ways that I can see to improve the Kiara Sky Gelly Tips. The first would be to add refill bags so that after you purchase a kit and you know what size you wear, you can purchase refills of only the sizes you use. The second would be to add a size smaller than 9. Either my kits mixed in travel or only some of my 9s fit my pinky finger.
With the way the wonderful Kiara Sky Gelly Tips fit my nails, it feels like my own natural nails. I’ve had an easier time lifting weights, using my rowing machine, cleaning and everything else I do with these shorter tips. No lifting in the back either!
I filmed a video of me putting on my first set of Kiara Sky Tips and will try to get that live for you soon. Until then you can watch my How to Do DIY Gel Nails at Home to get a feel for the steps that I take to make my nails. You may also want to check out my Nail Polish Battle Station, though I did recently DIY it to make it even better, so I’ll share that with you soon. Have you tried Kiara Sky?
