Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 Review
A while back I purchased the Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer in Fair to Review. I love most everything Josie Maran makes and I adore argan oil, so I figured this would be a match made in heaven!
The Website Says
Get everything you love in a sunscreen, foundation, and moisturizer—without the harmful chemicals found in most SPFs. This lightweight formula contains all natural SPF 30 to protect skin from UVA and UVB rays, while the medium coverage instantly corrects skin discoloration and blemishes. Josie’s signature ingredient, 100% pure argan oil, is blended with antioxidant powerhouses like pomegranate oil and goji berry and natural papaya extract to hydrate and rejuvenate skin’s appearance. This product is suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive and dry. “A good thing, made better: my bestselling, longtime favorite Argan Tinted Moisturizer is made with Argan Oil, so it moisturizes while it protects your skin from UVA and UVB rays. The new and improved version is formulated using an all-natural SPF 30—a rarity, since most foundations with SPF are loaded with chemicals. It sits lightly on your skin, so no clogged pores, and it comes in six shades, at least one of which is sure to suit the new and improved you.”

The Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer in Fair 1 matches my skintone perfectly! This really excited me. I like the amount of coverage that this tinted moisturizer provides. It’s enough to even out my skintone but still lets my skin shine through. It’s SPF 30, and while I would prefer it to be 40, it’s still not bad.
I did experience some inconsistencies with wearing it. Some days it would separate on my skin after about 3 or 4 hours. Other times it would wear for up to 6 hours. I think this is best suited to dry or normal skin types. If you’re combination or oily, it’s going to separate on you. Some days I seem to be oilier than others, which is why I think I got mixed wear out of it. It did last longer and look better if I set it with NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder.
This actually has a really great range of shades available. It offers from light to dark. It’s nicely moisturizing, though I still wear my regular moisturizer with SPF under it to make sure that I’m getting enough sun protection. Additionally you’re getting 1.7 fl. oz vs. 1 oz for $38, which makes it a good value for the price.
While this isn’t something I would repurchase because of the inconsistency in wear for me, I would recommend it to you if you have dry or normal to dry skin. I haven’t given up on the Josie Maran foundations! I’m planning on trying the pressed Argan Matchmaker Powder Foundation SPF 20 in Fair / Light sometime soon.
Have you tried the Josie Maran Argan Tinted Moisturizer? What’s your favorite tinted moisturizer?
Thanks for this amazing review! Inconsistencies in the product turns me off because I have an oily/combination skin type so I think I’ll pass on this one…
I was debating on whether I should purchase this or not. The color looks like a great match for me too! Thanks for the review!!!
