Universal Taupe

The Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil is a two-time QVC Customer Choice Award winner for best brow product. The color is supposed to be a universally flattering shade that can work for light or dark skintones. I personally felt like the shade, Universal Taupe, was too warm (and a touch too light) for me, but I can see it working for a variety of people.

The Heavenly Luxe Dual-Ended Complexion Perfection Brush is pretty awesome. You use the big end to buff the foundation into your skin, while the little end can be used under the eyes or to conceal.

It Cosmetics Shades

I have 3 of the foundation shades to show you

  • Fair
  • Light Medium
  • Medium Beige

This foundation range does not yet offer foundations for deeper skintones. The deepest two shades are Tan and Rich, which I do not have to swatch for you. You can check out all 5 shades of the It Cosmetics CC Cream here. The foundation is formulated with skin-loving peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, silk and more to hydrate your skin. It’s the most hydrating powder foundation that I’ve ever tried.

Neutral Medium – Light

I have two of the concealers to show you

  • Light
  • Neutral Medium

This concealer comes in two other shades, Tan and Deep. It Cosmetics says that 70% of skin tones are Neutral Medium. I’m not sure where they got that number from. Aside from that, the concealer is amazing. The original was too dark for me but the texture and coverage was impressive. It’s a very thick concealer, and to make it easier to apply, I recommend using e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set, which is a great cruelty free dupe for MAC Fix+. See my post on all the best uses for e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set.

Brightening Finishing Powder, Flush Blush, Matte Bronzer

Now, I really love the CC Radiance Palette in this kit

  • Brighten Powder – peachy beige – formulated with Drops of Light Technology™, using light-reflecting microspheres to provide your skin with the look of healthy illumination without glitter or shimmer
  • Brighten Blush – beautiful coral – infused with anti-aging powerhouse ingredients including Amino Acids, Plum Oil, Cherry Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Pomegranate, Jojoba, Aloe, Seaweed Extract and Grapeseed
  • Matte Bronzer– matte bronze – formulated with anti-aging peptides and hyaluronic-filling spheres to keep you skin smooth and hydrated.  Hydrolyzed Collagen, Vitamins A, C and E, Grapeseed, Green Tea, Silk and Aloe treat your skin to a powerful boost of antioxidants

I’m not really much of a bronzer person, as you know, so that wouldn’t get much use from me. However, the blush is stunning for summer! I also like the brighten powder, which is a peachy beige to my eyes. I have to apply it very lightly with a duo fiber brush though.

This kit is an amazing value for the price. QVC says if sold separately it would cost you $169. I have the item price breakdown listed above. If you like at least 2 of the items in this kit, it’s better to buy this kit than buy the items separately, as you will save money.

What do you think of the It Cosmetics It’s All About You Kit? What foundation shade would you wear in this line?

  1. I like the blushes on this set but personally I haven’t liked anything by IT, the cc cream was a little too dry/ matte finish for me and the brow pencil felt very stiff on application and colors didn’t suit.

    1. I find that most brow products seem to run too warm for my taste. Right now the brow product I love the most is tarte brow mousse in Rich Brown. I have the Anastasia Dip Brow in Dark Brown, but i feel like it’s too easy to overload my brush with that product. What is your recommended product for brows?

      1. With brows, I personally like the Senna powders and also the Sonia Kashuk makes a nice brow product, finish it off with setting spray and it won’t run. I also like the MUFE brow gel but you have to work fast with it as it dries quickly but it does last.

        1. I can’t remember if I’ve tried the Senna powders. I tried a Senna pencil and liked it. I really like the Too Faced Bulletproof Brows and tarte brow mousse because they are easy for me to work with to get nice defined brows. I’ve heard great things about the MUFE brow gel

  2. I’ve been curious about their products. I’d like to try their powder. I’ve been using Bare Minerals in combination with other things for a while, but either they sneakily changed their formula over the years, or my skin is to blame. As my great grandmother would say, “It just don’t act like it used to!” (Her alleged response back when Coca Cola completely stopped adding small amounts of cocaine to the popular beverage). I’d also like to note that I wish I could comment on you videos on Youtube, but my computer hasn’t let me do that in a while.

    1. I think youtube and google+ are now forcibly linked, so if you don’t have an account set up, that may cause issues? I know I have an issue where someone will comment on my videos, but I cannot reply to them. I don’t know why that is.

      1. I think my issue has to do with the fact that I refuse to log into youtube with my “Mahdi Martin” google+ account. I like to be logged in with my old “tanoshineko” account. Not sure why I’m so attached. Whatevs.

          1. Yup, “they” really want you to link all your information together. I tend to resist on principle.

            1. I will tell you this, since YT & G+ linked up, I haven’t received very many troll comments. I personally think the link up is a good thing for cutting down on anonymous jerks.

              1. But what about this anonymous jerk?! Lol! True, although trolls can be hilarious, and it’s interesting to picture the person who would spew such ridiculous antics.

  3. Ooh, this kit looks great! I might have to check it out.

I just recently discovered IT Cosmetics, I had my makeup done at Ulta and the makeup artist used the Bye Bye Undereye concealer (which I loved so much I bought) and the bronzer/brightener/powder disc. I really liked the products!

I would probably wear the Fair foundation, but might need to try these in person to get a good match.

(P.S. When I needed my makeup done for an event, the makeup artist at Ulta was more than happy to only use cruelty-free brands on me. They can use any product that they carry in the store and have a really good selection of cruelty-free brands!)

  4. Do you think the Radiance Palette is really much different than Vitality Face Disc? It seems like they are kind of repackaging things or just doing a slight tweak, repackaging and selling it as something new and wonderous. I compared the Radiance Ombre Bronzer to the two shades in the Vitality Disc and they were exactly the same. I do love It Cosmetics and would buy this kit if I didn’t already have all of the products except for the palette. Have you tried any of her brushes? They are some of the softest I have ever had. I have very sensitive skin that turns red the minute you touch it so I need soft and gentle. I just bought her fan brush and it is a big, thick, very soft, fluffy brush that is perfect for sweeping any kind of color over your face.

    1. I do feel like the Radiance and Vitality – at least the Vitality I have – are different. The bronzer is lighter in the Vitality, the blush and brightening colors are different from my vitality vs. the radiance palette. I do love the brushes! I have several.
