House Targaryen Fire and Blood Outfit

Saturday I wore my ThinkGeek House Targaryen shirt for the first time. I love this shirt! House Targaryen is the House of Fire and Blood. The 3 heads on the shirt stands for Aegon the conquerer and his sisters Rhaenys and Visenya. House Targaryen was powerful and mad. The madness likely was due to their marriage practices (incest, ew) and trying to keep their bloodlines ‘pure.’ Daenerys has the typical Targaryen coloring of silver-blonde hair and violet eyes. She is called the Mother of Dragons, as she has three young dragons that are growing rapidly (in the tv series). While she started out as a very timid, abused character, she’s grown into a strong leader who often shows compassion.

I have to admit, I’m sad that there’s no Game of Thrones episode tonight. I’ve been enjoying the series tremendously. I always want to watch the bits with Daenerys.

  3. I really missed Game of Thrones being on too.  I’ve read all the books and love the TV series too!  I love Dany, Tyrion, and Jon.

    1. TikiBarbie I need to try the books again. The first time I tried to read them I didn’t care for them. But I’m really enjoying the tv series, so I might like them now.

  6. I am loving the Game of Thrones but I’m so sad that the season is over. Daenerys has really grown as a character, and I too love the episodes that she is in. Love the t-shirt!

    1. MakeupbyHilary I think there are 2 episodes left. There’s just not an episode tonight because of the Memorial Day holiday.
