What I Wore to my BFF’s Birthday Pool Party

Saturday was my BFF’s Birthday Pool Party. I debated whether or not to wear makeup. I already knew I’d be wearing my House Targaryen outfit and my Converse One Red & Black Star Tankini swimsuit. I knew I wasn’t planning on submerging my face in either the pool or the hot tub, so I decided that I’d wear some makeup. Here’s the look I went with.

Despite me spending FAR too long in the hot tub (bad enough that it triggered a rosacea flare from the hot steam and caused my skin and eyes to feel like they were burning for hours), my makeup lasted the night. I didn’t dunk my head underwater because of the chlorine in the pool and hot tub. I hate getting chlorine in my hair (and if I’m going to swim rather than wade, I typically saturate my hair with tap water first), and I’m none too fond of it on my skin, either. If I’m in the water too long I get itchy.

I had a wonderful night with my friends and really enjoyed the pool party.
