Grey Area Brands

These are brands that state they do not test, but that they can’t guarantee their suppliers are telling the truth. They’re brands I don’t feel comfortable buying from. However, you may want to buy from them and that’s ok!

Malin+Goetz – says they’re cruelty free but can’t guarantee their suppliers don’t test.
Morphe – said they didn’t want to be pigeonholed into any particular market segment and declined to answer questions about cruelty free status
Mr. & Mrs. Pompadour – says their finished products are cruelty free but can’t guarantee their ingredients are cruelty free.
O’Keeffe’s – won’t guarantee their suppliers.
Tigi / Bedhead (says they don’t test but the suppliers of suppliers can’t be guaranteed)
Temptu – their ingredients may not be cruelty free and they don’t ask for documentation from their suppliers.
