Glittery New Years Eve Tutorial

Glittery New Years Eve Tutorial

Happy New Year’s Eve! I created a glittery New Years Eve tutorial featuring Lit Cosmetics, Sugarpill, Colour Pop, and Cover FX. As you probably already know, I rarely wear glitter on my eyes, but I wanted to go all out for this look to make it a bright and happy one.

For New Year’s Eve we’ll be at my BFF’s party. I’m really looking forward to seeing her and the rest of my close circle of friends.

What will you be wearing for New Year’s Eve?

  1. Loving the pink and teal combo. This look would also work in the Spring/Summer. Loved it AND the video!

  2. I love that pretty pink shadow on your lid. I wore pink, black and silver for my NYE eye look. I love your nail color too. I see golden shimmer peeking out.

  3. Very pretty ! I am super pale as well and finding foundations that match is always a pain. I will have to check that foundation out.

    1. You’ll want to check out Cover FX Total Cover Cream, Liquid Foundation or Pressed Mineral Foundation in N10 or N0. The CC Cream in N-Xtra Light is one that Cover FX made specially for me, as their normal CC Cream is only offered in N-Light. BUT, you can do what I used to do, which is use N-Light mixed with Face Atelier Zero Minus or Illamasqua Skin Base to lighten it to match you perfectly 🙂 I hope that they decide to offer N-Xtra Light in the CC Cream for pale ladies. You might also like my Best Vegan Foundations post where I swatch and show over 20 pale foundations.

  4. OMG love it! Super happy and colourful. Girl, I have the same problems with lashes. (Though haven’t tried tape yet.) I’ve never been able to get them on right so have a drawer full of lashes I’ve given up on. That foundation looks fantastic!! How do you like the Paula’s Choice brow duo? I haven’t seen it on the UK site yet (unless I missed something) but would definitely be up for trying it! Thanks for an awesome NYE tutorial!!

  5. I love that pink and teal green eye makeup and that lip colour is amazing! It reminds me of Too Faced Melted Fuchsia. Happy New Year!

  6. Love the colors, and the glitter! (Though I agree with you re: glitter fallout – I used to spackle my eyelids with the stuff on a regular basis and it would inevitably gravitate to my cheeks.)

Do you find that Soot & Stars has a ridiculous amount of fallout? I love the color, but the first time I tried it, there were huge, dark rings involved and it took forever to scrub out (possibly due to my own ineptitude, let’s be fair).

    1. depending how i apply Soot & Stars I get fallout during application, but it doesn’t fall out while I’m wearing it. It’s my favorite deep grey.
