Recently I had the opportunity to try out the new Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. With a name like that, it set expectations high. It more than meets them for me!

I love the pale pink packaging of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara! It’s so cute and feminine. Oh! A note about the packaging. Don’t store this mascara laying down, store it straight up and down. Otherwise, it has a tendency to pool near the top of the container. The brush itself is pretty large and covered in bristles, which are able to grab and coat the lashes.

My experience with the Better Than Sex Mascara has been extremely positive. I get pretty amazing results with it.

First, let me explain how I apply mascara these days. Before I do anything, I curl my lashes. I use the Urban Decay Cageless lash curler because it lets me get right up to my lash line and doesn’t pinch my lid. I can’t get any other curler to do that. I’ve been trying to use a heated lash curler after this, but my heated lash curler doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Then, I pull the Better Than Sex Mascara straight up through my lashes. Next, I take my furless Professional Lash Brow Groomer Pro1E brush and run the tip of the mascara wand across the tines of Pro1E and then I comb up through my lashes, and then at a 45 degree angle out. I think since I started doing this technique my lashes have started to look really good! I have the makeup artist Goss to thank for it. His video really changed mascara for me! I’m still not great at it, but I am getting better, and that means better results.

Of all the mascaras that I’ve tried with this technique, the Better Than Sex Mascara has, by far, given me the best results. It’s amazing for me.

Let’s talk about the formula. I’m ecstatic over the formula of this mascara for several reasons. It doesn’t irritate my eyes. While I love the Too Faced Better Than False Lashes system, I cannot wear it when my allergies are bad. Better Than Sex Mascara doesn’t come off on my contacts or face, nor smudge or flake. It’s a perfect black shade!

I didn’t notice Better Than Sex Mascara curling my lashes, but I specifically am spending time before I apply it curling my lashes. I’m also not applying it the way its meant to be applied. However, I feel the way I’m applying it is letting me achieve the best lashes that I’ve ever had.

I’ve tried a ton of mascaras this year, and Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara has completely blown me away. When I run out of this tube, I will be purchasing it because I’ve finally found a mascara that I can’t live without. I think it gives me stunning lashes.
