My Flawless Face Foundation Routine
Happy Friday! My longtime friend Cin requested that I do a video on how I apply foundation. This is my current flawless face foundation routine. I switch it up a lot. Lately I’ve been addicted to latex free sponges. I have many of them – the original beauty blender, Graftobian, Fyrinnae, Essence of Beauty Precision blender, Sonia Kashuk, and Beauty Junkees. I love them all.
If you like my flawless face foundation tutorial, please give it a thumbs up and share it 🙂

My foundation routine is pretty fast once you get used to doing it. I really love the fact that it melds with my skin, doesn’t look cakey or heavy, and makes my face look flawless. It easily hides my rosacea and any darkness under my eyes.
What do you think of my foundation routine? Do you like using latex free sponges?
u are v cute
u r so cuteeeeeeeeee
Phyrra Ok, 6 days later, I’m even more grateful for you! I’ve been experiementing with different foundations and powders and I think I found my favorite: Lancome Teint Miracle applied with a wet beauty blender set with MAC MSFN applied with a velour puff! I cannot thank you enough, Phyrra! My makeup lasted all day without a single touch-up or quickie session with oil blotting sheets – from 8 AM to 8:30 PM! I am amazed! I’ve been using brushes for so long that I didn’t even think about changing it up. My oily skin and me LOVE YOU! Thank you SO much!
@Kristyn Kilcullen It’s great 🙂
@Padawan Nancy Thanks!
BooBooNinja Aww!
@Kimberly Nissen Same here!
glambunctious You’re welcome! I’m so glad you found it helpful.
Thank you so much, Phyrra! GREAT tutorial! I’ve been needing to change up my application technique as I’ve noticed some of the foundations I’ve been using are creasing in my smile lines in the afternoon. I’m going to try using my CVS beauty blender sponge wet and see how it goes. Thanks again! Hugs! <3
I have the beauty blender and love using it for a flawless look
I feel like such a dork because I only learnt you had to wet the sponge just over a year ago. I had been using it wrong for soooo long!
I was scrolling through my Bloglovin’ feed to see what I wanted to read next, and your cute lil’ face popped up.
I couldn’t help it. I’ve never seen someone hold makeup sponges with such joy. That image alone has been wanting my very own Beauty Blender-ish sponge. 😀
Love your hair color!
I have a sponge I got in a beauty box but I hadn’t used it yet because I wasn’t quite sure what to do. Thanks so much for posting this video, I will try my sponge out today! I’ve been using a buffing brush but it sometimes irritates my skin. I also need to race out and buy that Illamasqua White Light concealer!
Brilliant. Foundation is the hardest bit of makeup routine for me so this is perfect
Excellent video, I’d never even really thought about sponges but I’m definitely going to try. When I’m using liquid (Illamasqua Skin Base!) I use the Real Techniques Expert Face brush or the Bdellium 953 and they work fine but some days I feel like I look like I have foundation on and I prefer the ‘it looks like I don’t have foundation on but I do’ look. Thanks!
Great video! I’ve been loving the Illamasqua White Light. Didn’t think to put the foundation on the sponge, I usually dot it around my face & blend, so definitely have to try this.
Theartismakeup I really like it! It’s awesome 🙂
love it! How do you like that illamasqua concealer? I am thinking about getting it!
Leelo, thank you!
I’m going to have to try the wet sponge technique.
I can’t believe that I had never tried a wet sponge until this year, but wow what a difference it makes! I even got my MIL to try it and she likes it.
EleanorTheodorou Thank you! I’m really glad you found it helpful 🙂
Very informative! I normally use brushes, but I do like the finish of a sponge.
And that was awesome! I had no clue to wet the sponge! Thanks! I have used brushes for powder and I’m intrigued with the sponge technique. I definitely will be trying this!
Great video! I have been wanting to try beauty blenders/sponges for a while so it’s great to see the technique you use! Also I absolutely adore your hair colour and the fact that you colour your eyebrows to match! Gorgeous xxx
