My Favorite Paula’s Choice Skincare Products

My Favorite Paula's Choice Beauty Skincare Products

I made a little video to talk about my Favorite Paula’s Choice Beauty Products. I love them because they’re affordable, quality skincare products. I love that they back up their product claims with studies and science, so that you can learn about the science behind the ingredients. These are some of my baseline products that I go back to when I’m not testing other products.

Pr + purchased by me.

Paula’s Choice is, of course, cruelty free.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum – $30 for 1 oz
This is my favorite serum hands down. In the winter time, I can get dry under my eyes and on  my cheeks, so after I cleanse but before I apply moisturizer I use this to add moisture and antioxidants to my skin. I’ve repurchased this several times and I love it to bits. It works well under any moisturizer, so it’s especially good in the wintertime if you already have a moisturizer you love that you need to boost. This is truly rave worthy! You can see my review here.

Paula’s Choice RESIST C15 Super Booster – $45 for .67 oz
This is a strong Vitamin C product with 15% stabilized Vitamon C to help fade hyperpigmentation, brighten the skin, reduce brown spots, and boost any serum.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer with Retinol – $27 for 1.7 oz
This is the barrier repair night time moisturizer with retinol.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator – $27 for 1.7 oz
I love this and prefer it out of the Resist line of moisturizers. The formula is perfect for my skin type. It doesn’t cause break outs or irritate my sensitive skin. It’s great for use around the eyes. It has anti-aging properties. There’s no fragrance. This is another product I’ve repurchased a ton. You can see my review here.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum – $37 for 1 oz
This is supposed to help build up skin-firming collagen, supercharged with retinol and antioxidants, fade red marks, repair sun damage etc. See my review here.
Paual’s Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover – $10.50 for 4.3 oz (on sale right now, normally $14.00)
I love this stuff! It’s in my top 2 makeup removers of all time. See my review.

  1. I am a huge fan of Paula’s Choice products. I have used one kind or another for over five years. I have repeatedly purchased the 2% BHA liquid, RESIST Super Antioxidant Serum, RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator, and the RESIST 5% AHA lotion. I’m on my 3rd bottle of the RESIST Retinol Serum but I have misgivings that it is doing much for my skin. I suspect I may need something with a higher concentration of retinol.

I’ve been ignoring the Gentle Makeup Remover as I didn’t think it would remove tenacious waterproof mascara. Tell me again — how effective is it against waterproof mascara? Do you need to use copious amounts of the remover? How long do you need to hold the pad to your eye for the remover to break down the eye makeup? I’m dissatisfied with my Neutrogena bi-phase remover and am up for something effective and CF.

By the way, the MU Remover is currently on sale. (I’ve got a couple bottles in my shopping cart. I haven’t clicked “checkout” because I’m still doubtful it is effective against waterproof makeup.)

    1. I find the MUR to be highly effective for me. The way I do it. Take a cotton pad, soak it in product. Hold it to my eyelids for 20 to 30 seconds. then gently brush the pad down the eyes. It gets off most of the waterproof mascara and liner.

        1. Oh Phyrra, which do you prefer between the PC vitamin C serum and the FutureDerm vitamin C serum?

          1. they both have their pros and cons

The PC has to be mixed with the antioxidant serum, so I worry about not having as potent a concoction.

The FutureDerm doesn’t have to be mixed but it has a really long dry down and I have to put a moisturizer on top of it or it feels sticky and doesn’t dry correctly (for my taste).

They’re both good products, good choices, but it’s all in which you prefer.

            1. Thanks. I’m glad to have found a kindred spirit with PC products. 🙂 I put in my order early yesterday morning. I added a couple samples of the Vitamin C serums. I’m waiting for the Super Antioxidant Serum to be on sale before getting a back up. I’m about 2/3 through my current tube.

I’m going to email PC to ask about the pH of the Vitamin C serum and the Super Antioxidant serum to see if they are, as they say, compatible for mixing.

              1. I’ve been mixing them. Basically I’ll put down a base of the super antioxidant on my finger tips and spread it out, then add drops of the Vit C

  2. I’ve had really mixed results with Paula’s choice. I love the 2% BHA lotion, Resist super antioxidant serum, and Resist advanced replenishing toner. None of the moisturizers do enough for my skin on their own and some irritated my skin. the worst was the resist barrier repair moisturizer. it gave me something like a chemical burn that took several days to heal and really hurt. it was the worst reaction my skin has EVER had to a product. I’ve tried retinol products before without that happening so I suspect the issue is that she uses propylene glycol in a lot of her products – including that one. Considering how concerned she is about sensitive skin, I find it rather surprising that she uses propylene glycol. But not all her products do. Like I said, I’ve had a few of great successes. It’s a line worth trying out.

  3. Many of these products are my favorites too especially the retinol serum and moisturizer. I haven’t yet tried the C15 super booster serum but it sounds great!

  4. ive never tried this brand of products before but i am now interested in trying some of the line!

  5. I’ve never tried this brand. Aside from the rodents that contain retinol, I’d give it a try

  6. I’ve heard good things about Paula’s Choice. Eventually I need to save up and splurge a little to try them out

  7. Because of your review I now religiously use the Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Retinol Serum. I’m testing out the Resist Barrier Repair Moisturiser and the PC Moisture Boost. I really loved the feeling of the Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator but my skin developed a strange texture after a week or so of testing it… however, I am using it as an eye cream and I love it. The Gentle Touch Makeup Remover is the BEST! Thanks for introducing me to Paula!!
