Too Faced Holiday 2014 Collection Review

Too Faced Holiday 2014 Review

I’ve got my Too Faced Holiday 2014 Collection part 1 for you. This is 4 of the 5 collections. I just ran out of steam and couldn’t shoot another video after finishing the 4th. In this post I’ve got the Under the Mistletoe, Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses, Sugar & Spice (Ulta Exclusive) and Everything Nice (Sephora Exclusive).

Too Faced Holiday 2014 Collection Review

Too Faced Under the Mistletoe

Under the Mistletoe – $28

  • 3 lipsticks – Naked Dolly, Marshmallow Bunny, Spice Spice Baby lipsticks.
  • Glittery pink bag that sheds like crazy.
Too Faced Under the Mistletoe Swatches
Dolly – Marshmallow Bunny – Spice Spice Baby

These lipsticks all require 2 passes to be built up to what you see in my swatches. While the colors are good to pair with smoky eyes, I’m disappointed with the kit and don’t recommend it because the lipsticks don’t live up to their one swipe claim and the tiny makeup bag sheds a ton.

Too Faced Best Wishes and Sweet Kisses Review

Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses – $34

  • 3 Exclusive eye shadows from our best-selling Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection
  • Best-selling Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
  • Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer
  • Exclusive preview of a deluxe version of our La Crème Lip Gloss in Naked Dolly

White Chocolate – creamy vanilla base shade
Creme Brulee – gold
Haute Chocolate – brown with gold
Chocolate Soleil – bronzer
Snow Bunny – light bronzer
Naked Dolly – peachy pink gloss

I think this one would make a nice gift. To me, the eyeshadows are nice. All the colors coordinate together to give you a pretty, neutral look. I also think the mini gloss is nice.

Too Faced Sugar and Spice Review

Sugar & Spice (Ulta Exclusive) – $39

  • Eye Shadows in Biscotti, Champagne Truffle, Bon Bon, Coconut Cream, Nutmeg, Cinnamon Sugar, Chocolate Cake, Meringue, Clove, Black Licorice, Pink Frosting and Sugared Violet (0.47 oz.)

Too Faced Sugar and Spice Review

Too Faced Sugar and Spice Swatches

Coconut Cream – creamy white matte, sheer, powdery
Nutmeg – peachy shimmery shade, slightly powdery
Biscotti – shimmery brown with copper tones
Sugared Violet – blackened eggplant violet
Champagne Truffle – shimmery white (not the same as the Chocolate Bar palette)
pink frosting – frosty icy pink
Cinnamon Sugar – medium brown
Chocolate Cake – deep brown matte
Meringue – pale pink matte, powdery, sheer
Clove – taupe matte satin
Bon Bon – pale shimmery lilac
Black Licorice – sheer black matte, but can be built up

Standout shades to me – Clove, Nutmeg, Chocolate Cake, Biscotti, Champagne Truffle, Cinnamon Sugar

I’m very happy that the names are printed on the palette! I also love the gold packaging and bag.

I recommend this palette if you like soft light shades. To me this is sort of the epitome of Too Faced – girly, pretty soft shades. This is my favorite of the four sets, even though the colors are not ‘me’ colors (no brights), I think it’s a great neutral palette to gift to a friend.

Between these 4, I would skip the Under the Mistletoe set.

The Everything Nice set is a maybe to me because of the eyeshadows being hit or miss.

I feel like the Sugar & Spice and the Beauty Wishes and Sweet Kisses are the best of these sets. Sugar & Spice is perfect to gift to any neutral lover. Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses is a really cute set and I like the eyeshadows in it.

I will be reviewing La Belle Carousel as soon as possible.

What do you think of these four sets?

  1. These are all super pretty. I totally agree that Too Faced has lots of soft, pretty shades.

  2. great post! I like the Everything nice palette best, I think. I love their La Creme lipsticks, but only one of those. I think you’re going to be finding glitter for a long time! I will find a random piece on my husband now and again, lol.

  3. I purchased all of these sets already! They haven’t arrived yet but you just made me wish they would hurry even more!

  4. I’m eyeing the large palette but I am terrible… I bought the large palette last year – A Few of My Fav Things as well as the Jingle one and I never touched one and barely touched the other :/ I have a problem, commit me… palettes are my weakness.

  5. I like the Everything Nice Palette. The rest of it is OK, but doesn’t “wow” me. This collection is skewed too much to soft and neutral for my tastes.

  6. I am drooling over all of the adorable holiday stuff. I have already bought some Tarte, may get some Too Faced, too.

  7. I got the Everything Nice palette. I loved last years big palette so much and this one is just like it with new different colors! I love it already and only had it a week so far. I have my eye on several others sets from this collection too. I don’t think I really need them but Oh! I really want them.

  8. Sugar & Spice is so me I want it. If I didn’t already have everything (except the gloss) in Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses I would want that too. Thanks for the honest review of the lipstick bag–it looked like a cute gift but not if it sheds like crazy! Great reviews!!
