Happy Makeup Wars Monday! Today we’re talking about Cult Beauty. In other words, hyped up beauty products that deserve the hype because they’re awesome.

PR + purchased by me.

Cult Beauty Products Worth the Hype

Huda Beauty FauxFilter Foundation

The first cult beauty product on my list is the Huda Beauty FauxFilter Foundation. This foundation was released with a ton of hype, not only because of the shade range but because of the formula. It lives up to the hype for me because the formula wears well for my dry skin, I don’t have to add white mixer to get a perfect match, and it gives me all day wear! Milkshake is perfect for pale neutral skin like mine. And I swear, it seems like my shade, Milkshake is WILDLY popular as it is always sold out. (check out my review)

Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme

I’m sure this will be highly contested because so many people swear by tarte Shape Tape, but I think Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme has a huge cult beauty following too. For me, this is a miracle concealer. I can put it on underneath foundation, on top of foundation, use it with water or silicone based foundations, as well as wear it with powder foundations. It blends and doesn’t look cakey. It has all the coverage I need. I wear shade L1 Neutral.  (see my review).

Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation

While Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation doesn’t play nice with my dry skin, it’s a cult favorite for many of my friends. If you have normal to oily skin, you will love this foundation. Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation boasts a huge shade range, covering from very fair to very deep. KVD embraces all global shades of beauty! If you have pale skin like mine, look at shade L41 Neutral. If you’re more cool-toned than me, check out L42.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is one of the most popular foundations available at Sephora and with good reason. The finish is beautiful for those who don’t like to wear a ton of makeup. I just wish Naked Skin Foundation came in a shade light enough for my pale skin!

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray

The Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray is a must-have cult beauty product among makeup enthusiasts and makeup artists alike. When you absolutely positively need to have your makeup last all day, this is what you need.

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

Let’s face it. The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are all Cult Beauty Favorites. For the past year and three months, the Naked Ultimate Basics palette has been my go-to of all the Nakeds. It has a special place in my vanity and I usually travel with it. It’s versatile with nearly ever ‘normal’ neutral shade I need. (see my review)

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Urban Decay Primer Potion was the very first eyeshadow primer I ever learned about. People have been in love with this product since it was in the genie bottle! There are a ton of different varieties now, but the original is still wildly popular and it deserves its cult beauty status.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

I didn’t want to fall in love with this primer but it’s amazing for my dry skin. What amazes me is that it also works well for oily skin! It’s my favorite silicone-based primer. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer will give you a beautiful glow as well as help your foundation to last all day.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter are one of the most hyped up cult beauty items out there. Even my cousins who aren’t that into makeup have one of these! The BECCA highlighters are gorgeous. While I don’t own it, I think Prismatic Amethyst would be the best match for porcelain skin like mine.

The Ordinary Skincare

Everyone, everywhere, seems to have gone crazy over the Ordinary Skincare products. I love the ease of use and affordability of the line. You may want to check out my guide on how to create a skincare routine with the Ordinary.

Pixi Glow Tonic

The Pixi Glow Tonic is one of the most hyped up cult beauty drugstore products I’ve ever seen. I’m not even a toner person and I can’t deny how great Pixi Glow Tonic is. It has glycolic acid to gently exfoliate, aloe vera to hydrate and soothe, and it leaves you with glowy skin. It’s so good!

Nail-Aid Acetone Spray Nail Polish Remover

Nail-Aid Acetone Spray Nail Polish Remover launched this year and is revolutionary. It’s a spray bottle of acetone with additives for your nails that are good. You spray it on a cotton round, then use it to take off your nail polish. I love it! I use the one that has hyaluronic and collagen.

  1. Don’t know where comment went. This is an awesome giveaway. So many great products. Happy Holidays.

  2. Have you tried any of the Nail-Aid growth or strengthener products? I have a lot of trouble with peeling nails, and I’m eyeing the Collagen or Keratin serums.

  3. I have three products from the expensive side of Ulta. ;/ ABH brow pomade and brow brush, and Benefit liquid bronzer. I know the product inside matters more than the outside, but I do appreciate pretty packaging. Courtney, THANK YOU for such a power-packed giveaway opportunity!

  4. It is always fascinating to see everyone’s picks. I really am a huge fan of Kat Von D concealers, I bought several for my makeup kit.

  5. I wish that the Huda wasn’t so fragranced. I just don’t think I can deal with that. On my list to buy is the UD All Nighter Spray. I have some older Skindinavia ones but I’m ready for fresh. I should have included The Ordinary but totally forgot. I love both formulas of the foundation and Caffeine Eye.

  6. I have been eyeing the Pixi Glow Tonic for a while now; I have not heard or read one bad review yet! The Naked foundation is so nice, too.

  7. I have used All Nighter Spray for years and it works wonderfully on my mature/normal skin. Urban Decay is one of the all time favorite brands and I am so happy that you review so many of their items.
