Christmas Tree Mani

Christmas Tree Mani

I created a Christmas Tree Mani! To create this mani I started with Cult Nails Get it On Base Coat. I used Cult Nails Nevermore (I’m on like my 3rd or 4th bottle, I love this black so much!), the perfect 1 coat black as the base. I waited for it to dry thoroughly. Then I grabbed some striping tape and I used that to make the Christmas tree shape with KB Shimmer Pretty in Punk. Then I used KB Shimmer Clearly On Top Top Coat. I used tweezers to pick up and arrange several different little nail art stars. 2 of the trees have iridescent blue yellow stars on top and 2 of the trees have gold stars on top.  Tiny little iridescent red, gold, and lavender stars are the ornaments on the trees.

KB Shimmer Pretty in Punk is a multi-chrome linear holo polish. It shifts from a pretty pistachio green, to a bright green, to silver, to a soft pink almost lavender color depending on the light and viewing angle.

Cult Nails Nevermore is the perfect high gloss one coat black. It’s great on its own or for nail art.

Nevermore has been a long time favorite of mine. I’m really loving all the KB Shimmer multi-chromes that were released for Winter 2013.

Have you done any Holiday nail art? Let me know!

  1. fab-u-lous! Better than most wrapping paper.
    I am a new devotee, and inspired by Phyrra I have a syrup mani alternative that works better on my, okay, way too long nails. I finally have natural long nails, I rock them until they are stupid untxtable long! Your syrup rx is great, I found the color wasn’t showing through on my talons the way it does on yours. Either mani is a great way to use up all those “just like” shades of red, or blue, darker red/blue we buy and shove around for a few years!
    So here’s my deep drip for long nails (or long phone calls, anger management coping, etc):
    Choose 3 (or 4) shades. Put the darkest on the tips, and like our Queen says don’t worry about neat! Then the next two steps in a medium color and the top in your lightest shade (with this one do be pretty but you’ll still hafta clean up a little on the sides). A coat of Seche Vite and wow – Did you dip those nails in a Willy Wonka sink?!
    Here’s a I don’t buy the hype question: can I get the real, worn it all day story from everyone on Lip Tar? As a lipstick maven I’m intrigued but (as a former beauty writer and stylist) I saw this when it came out in person as a cool special event/theater pigment. It looks gorgeous on Phyrra in her photos. I mix up everything from drugstore to MUFE. My best blush is from the 40s.
    Thanks, beautiful ladies!

  2. I really love this! I haven’t even done one Christmas mani this year so I’m really loving seeing pics of everyone’s nails online. Pretty In Punk looks like such a gorgeous color!

  3. I’ve seen your nails painted before, but never with nail art. Looks beautiful! Great job! I tried doing snowflakes but I haven’t grown my nails out long enough yet. They keep breaking on me too =/ }
