Burt’s Bees BB Cream Light – First Impressions

Burt's Bees BB Cream Light - First Impressions

New Video! Burt’s Bees BB Cream Light – First Impressions review for pale skin. This is a new series that I’m starting for my Youtube Channel. For reference I wear Cover FX N0. My skin is dry, sensitive and I have rosacea. Burt’s Bees is cruelty free and Leaping Bunny certified, but their parent company is not cruelty free. This BB Cream is a drugstore foundation and many of you have requested that I try more drugstore products.

I’m really impressed with the fact that the shade Light is a great match for my skintone. I don’t remember the last time I had a perfect match in a drugstore foundation. And no mixing! Unfortunately it only comes in 3 shades – Light,  Light / Medium and Medium. There are no options for deeper skintones.

However, this foundation really needs to be set because I feel like it never really dried down. I will be using a setting powder next time I wear it. This is definitely a moisturizing foundation for dry skin.

Have you tried the Burt’s Bees BB Cream Light?

  1. BB cream shades are really hard to gauge with some being more traditional (aka griege) but this one looks and sounds pretty great. I didn’t know Burt’s had one.

  2. I found this product to be super heavy for the amount of pigment and it NEVER dried on my extra oily skin. I have ended up mixing it with a few drops of my MUFE matt velvet foundation and a small squirt of Mirabella primer to create a nice summer-proof concoction that actually stays on my face all day. The light/medium shade smells a little like chocolate to me.

  3. Great review! I am your skin-twin, excited that there may be a drugstore bb cream out there for me. Could you possibly swatch this product alongside others?

  4. I have heard that this BB cream has been a great one for many people so it’s always great to see your thoughts on something since I trust your opinion. I would love to see what else BB can come out with along the lines of these kinds of products.

  5. I haven’t seen this yet but now I’m on the hunt for it. I love BB creams this time of year and this one looks like it’s more pigmented than most.

  6. I have this in Light/Medium and it blends in well but I know that Light would match so much better. I think this is a fuller foundation than most other BB Creams I use.

  7. I’ve never tried it. After watching your video, I’m wondering if it would work on my oily skin. Maybe with powder?
