A Dress for a Wedding

I promised to show you the dress that I wore to my brother’s wedding. I picked it up from Macy’s. It’s a screaming bright magenta, which I figured would be perfect for a summer day wedding.

The lighting is WAY off in this shot. I’ve got to teach Ray how to take good indoor shots. Or I need to get a tripod.

The color is much more accurate in this picture.  To go with my magenta dress, I wore my croc heels. I also painted my nails with Zoya Lillith.  Both the dress and polish are a gorgeous shade of magenta.

For accessories I’ve got on a fuchsia watch by Liz Claiborne, a gorgeous Shrinkle Special necklace and some super sparkly earrings from WhimsyBeading.

I’ll be doing a breakdown on my look soon.

  1. Wow, you look absolutely stunning. I think this is best I have seen you look, ever! (Although you are always gorgeous)

  2. See, I have the opposite problem. I can’t take good photos no matter how hard I try. It’s just a lost art to me. My boyfriend, however, can take some amazing pictures without any effort.

    1. Wow, a lot of it, I’ve found, has been to keep your arm steady (using a table) and using flash.

  3. Hey gorgeous! I am so sorry that I didn’t respond immediately when I you sent this picture of you in that dress for me to see yesterday. But my jaw dropped when I saw it! You look AMAZING!!!

  4. You look stunning, Phyrra! 🙂 Love the shade of the dress, though I usually stick to boring colors like brown, lol. The necklace suits it perfectly – so pretty!

  5. Love the dress! What a great color! You look so beautiful! Can’t wait to see the breakdown on you look!

  6. Phyrra, the dress is AMAZING on you! The color, the shape, everything. Love the makeup, too!

  7. I bet Ray is willing to try. My hubs, I sweat he does a crappy job on purpose because he hates to take photos.

Va Va Va Boom on that outfit! Smokin’ hot!!

    1. LOL! Ray is definitely willing, and he has a great eye for composition. Not sure why sometimes the camera baffles him.

  8. I gave up on trying to teach my boyfriend how to take a simple picture. Indoors or out, he would just point the camera down at me and just always took THE most unflattering pictures. It got really frustrating for me, and for him when I wouldn’t use the pictures he took. So I opted for the tripod. Best decision I made!! 😉
