I created a tutorial on how to use the Silk Naturals HD Cream Foundation and Peach HD Cream Concealer.

My Thoughts
The Silk Naturals Peach HD Concealer is very similar in formula and feel to the HD cream foundation. The color counteracts the dark circle I often have at my inner corner. If you apply this thinly and blend it out, then set it with a powder like Silk Naturals Flattery Illuminating Powder or Cloud Finishing Powder.

Pros

  • Vegan
  • Cruelty free
  • Gluten free
  • Counters dark circles
  • Excellent formula
  • Great value for the price

Cons

  • The deepest shades may not be suited to the deepest skintones

  1. So the cream formula isn’t too thick for the undereye area? I tend to use liquid concealers under eyes because they’re usually lighter in formula, but I might give this one a go!

  2. GREAT! I’m going to order some samples….ok yes I was wondering about the Cloud…is the Cloud a matte finish? I’m always looking for a good finishing powder and it would be nice to find one that’s not expensive. Love the prices and love that you can order samples, I’m going to order a few for the HD Cream Foundation too! Sounds like I should try the N10 as I’m very similar to you even though you are a bit more pink toned. Oh by the way, I’m ordering the Saucebox Etude, just came back in stock!!!!

  3. I have horrible dark circles that are the worst in the corners. This looks like it’d be perfect for that. This brand, every time you review something from them I’m amazed. The quality and quantity is insanely amazing for such a low price. I’m really going to have to splurge on some of their stuff soon!

    1. Yes, I think it would be great for you, I have the same problem and I’m going to try it too. Like Phyrra suggests, I would get it with one of their setting powders like the Cloud, they have a few depending on your skin type, always good to set concealer to stop it from creasing. You might also want to try the COVER FX Cream Concealer. I always like NARS Immaculate Complexion Concealer I’ve used it on and off for years. It’s not too bad at $24. I like it much better than their new one. I find that denser concealers don’t crease up as much. Also, you should try the Cover Fx Anti Aging Smoothing Eye Primer, it’s amazing! It’s a canvas for concealer AND eyeshadow in one!

  4. Excellent video! I think my problem previously (besides having seriously dry skin) is that I wasn’t using quite enough of the concealer. This stuff is freaking amazing. I have very dark circles and nothing, I mean nothing has covered them and this does. It does slightly settle into my fine lines, even after setting with Translucent Cloud, but I think it’s more the condition of my skin – I’m just about to have a Pelleve treatment so hopefully that will change!! Also, this is the best foundation I’ve tried yet, I prefer it even to Skin Base!!

    1. If it’s settling into your fine lines, I would try blending one direction, like outwards, rather than both directions like I did into the video. Then roll and pat with a makeup puff to set. I really really like Flattery for under the eyes, to help brighten the area.

  5. I just went and bought a bunch of samples. I’ve seen you blog about this brand so much I decided I needed to check it out. I’m always looking for a better foundation. Between adult acne, acne scaring, redness, and serious dark under eye circles I am never quite happy with the way my foundation looks.

      1. So I’ve tried the concealer & foundation for the past couple of weeks but I’m finding it looks cakey on my skin. I’ve tried using a different moisturizer or primer before using it but it’s still not playing nice with my skin. I tried your recommendation above about only blending out the concealer in one direction which did give some improvement but it still seems to leave a very unnatural look on my skin. Any suggestions? It could be it’s just not a good match for me but thought I would reach out. Thanks!

        1. Hi! I would email Silk Naturals to get advice on how to adjust for your skin. My thoughts would be applying your moisturizer, waiting 15 minutes for it to sink in, then applying the foundation without a primer.

  6. I love the concealer stick, it looks like a chapstick applicator. Very nice finish on you, both products!

      1. On my skin, yes. 30 looks like a regular skin tone so for me it would just be a slightly darker skin hue … perfect for contouring. I can’t use the browns most people use for contouring because I just look dirty.

  7. WOOOOOOOW its great tutoial. I will also try this for hide my undereye circles.

  8. I love a highlighting concealer. I’ve been using one from Tarte, and I love how it brightens and conceals. This sounds like a great option, too!

  9. I am obsessed with your many hair colors… LOVE THEM. Oh – on to the products, they sound pretty awesome. I’m not a concealer foundation person, but these sound like something I would try if I was.

  10. You look absolutely stunning, and I just think you are soooo sweet. I use the Eve Pearl concealer and I would like to place an order with Silk Naturals, my question to you is whether the concealer (and I also like that powder you used) is suitable for my normal/dry 50+ skin, I have this fear of my eyes looking dry and cakey. Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Hugs, xoxoxo

    1. I think it would work well for normal / dry skin. My skin right now is normal to dry under the eyes, oily t-zone. Plus I’m sensitive and have rosacea.
