I now have Paul Mitchell teal blue gradient hair. It was time for a change with my hair. When I went in to see my stylist Christian I told him that he had two choices for what he could do with my hair – 1. Put Pravana Wild Orchid on it to touch up the color. or 2. Remove as much of the previous color as possible and go a different direction. Christian gleefully chose #2.
Paul Mitchell Teal Blue Gradient Hair
This is where we started. I took before photos to document my length because I swear my hair has been the same length for like a year and is refusing to get any longer.
This is after my roots have been dyed black with a mix of two black Paul Mitchell dyes. The ends have had as much color removed as possible. It left us with this super pale pink for most of the hair, and some deep orange near the black.
Christian put a mix of black and teal blue to make a blackened teal blue shade for the middle of my hair. He used Paul Mitchell Pops Teal, which is a gorgeous teal blue straight out of the tube. It’s Paul Mitchell’s answer to Pravana Vivids. It was Christian’s first time working with the line and my first time trying it out. I’m supposed to put it to the test and report back on how it wears and if it washes out faster than Pravana.
Here’s me at the salon, extremely happy, right after Christian styled it.
In the car, right after I snap chatted about it.
And this is me in the studio after I got home. I wanted to snap a few pics on my good camera.
In these photos I’m wearing
- Lucy Minerals Original Foundation (pressed) in Courtney
- OCC Hoochie Pencil (pr sample)
- Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Crank (pr sample)
- Bunny Paige Micro Dragonfly Necklace
For this salon visit, I was only there from about 2:30 pm until 5:50 pm, which wasn’t too bad. I always enjoy hanging out at the salon with Christian and this time I also got to see him make one of his friends go pink. Her hair turned out gorgeous! Hot pink at the roots, cotton candy elsewhere. Loved it.
I’m definitely eager to see how the Paul Mitchell Pops in Teal last on my hair. I saw Christian on Thursday and it’s now Tuesday. I believe the Paul Mitchell Pops dyes are launching this Fall.
What do you think of the change?
