I’m in love with the Nyx Eyebrow Gels. Today I’m sharing my Nyx eyebrow gel review with you. I’ve got swatches of all 5 shades. This is a great cruelty free dupe for Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow, at a fraction of the cost! I picked up Black, Espresso and Blonde, and was sent Chocolate and Brunette for review.

Here they are unblended. The Espresso and Black are more runny in texture than the other three shades.

I LOVE the Nyx Eyebrow gel! I feel like it looks great on me. It gives me a very strong brow.
I find this easier to apply than Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow. I also think that Nyx Black is a better color match for me since it’s a deep dark black-brown (reminiscent of Urban Decay Crave eyeshadow) vs. the Anastasia Dipbrow in Dark Brown (see it on me here).
My only complaint with it is the fact that you can give the packaging the tiniest squeeze and it will still give you too much product. I shake up the bottle and then barely squeeze it and it still releases a big liquidy drop. Now this partially might be because my Black (and Espresso) both have a runny texture compared to Blonde, Chocolate and Brunette.
As with any brow product, practice makes perfect. Too much and you end up with Groucho Marx brows. The way I apply it is to put a bit of the gel on my hand. Then I run my brush through the gel, then I start to apply at the top of my brow towards the center, working my way back to the tip. Then I repeat for the bottom and inside. I use the spoolie to blend.
This stuff is waterproof and smudgeproof on me. I’ve worn it for 12 hours without it budging or smudging, which is no small feat in the humidity of central Florida. This stuff has to come off with makeup remover or soap and a wash cloth and a lot of elbow grease. Seriously, it stays put!

Oh my gosh, love the look of it in the second photo-the perfect look for a strong bold brow! Oh I think that’s the tutorial/look for the NARSissist Smoky Eye Kit right?! One of my faves:) What shade do think is the most natural on you? I am fair medium brown hair naturally like you-I wonder if I could mix the Brunette and the Blonde? My eyebrows aren’t very dark, probably light brown. I need something to make them stand out and also fill in the sparse patches that have been created when I didn’t go to my normal waxing person! Love the post on the Best CF Eyebrow Products:)

Aaaah, WISHLISTING! I’ve been meaning to try a product like this but they are usually quite expensive. Hopefully Urban Outfitters still sells NYX and they have this in the assortment.

OMG! I cannot wait for this to be released in the UK. I need waterproof / smudgeproof brows! I hate that by 2pm my oily skin results in disappearing eyebrows! I’m so glad you reviewed this as I was a little skeptical when I first saw it appear but I’m sold!

That is a great price and one thing you wrote stood out to me, STAYS PUT!!! I LOVE THAT!!! The fact you can run to your local drugstore and get it and not wait is another great plus. Yep, you can run out to Ulta and get it. It may be available at Target too, since some Targets are now carrying Nyx.
