This is a peachy pink with golden iridescence. It’s nearly universally flattering. The gold isn’t chunky, it’s pretty and refined.

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows in Deep End and Pool Shark – $29
Deep End is described as a shimmering green teal, and in some lights to me it looks like more of a balanced teal. Pool Shark has a cornflower blue base with a violet shift. While both of these are pretty, they’re shown above on bare skin, swiped with my finger tips. I think they would greatly benefit from primer, using them wet, or layering with some of the NARS Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliners. Abbey Road is a deep teal blue that would be perfect under Deep End. Khao San Road or St. Mark’s Place would be fun with Pool Shark.

NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Sexual Content – $45
Sexual Content is a sandy peach and soft raspberry duo. I prefer to use these dry rather than wet. I think these shades are especially flattering on pale skin. I really like the Dual-Intensity blushes that I’ve tried (see my thoughts on Craving).

NARS Limited Edition Summer 2016 Collection

L to R – Deep End – Pool Shark – Sexual Content

The Summer 2016 Collection also has the following

  • Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Topless – seashell pink
  • Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Tan Lines – rich hazelnut
  • Dual-Intensity Blush in Liberation – light shimmering pink / caramel rose
  • Lip Cover in Do Not Disturb – vivid orange red
  • Lip Cover in Overheated – deep dusty rose
  • Lip Cover in Get Dirty – desert rose
  • Lip Cover in Members Only – crimson

I really like the fact that the names seem to have a lot of cohesion with this collection. The colors definitely scream summer to me.

Overall, I think the eyeshadows are nice to have, but not must haves, unless you especially love the Dual-Intensity formula. They would be must haves for me if they had more pigmentation, though as I mentioned you can layer them to really bring out the colors.

If you have pale skin, I think you should consider Sexual Content because both shades are pretty and perfect for a natural flush of color. If you don’t already have Orgasm in your collection, the Limited Edition blush is really nice. I actually have a lot of Super Orgasm blushes (mini travel sizes and in my Danmari palette), but Super Orgasm is chunky in comparison to Orgasm. I prefer the more refined glow of Orgasm to Super Orgasm.

What do you think of the NARS Limited Edition Summer 2016 Collection?

  3. I’m really lemming for the Sexual Content blush duo. Beautiful!

  4. NARS is certainly introducing some lovely shades for summer. And the new, big Orgasm blush is so cool. I misheard you in the video, but yes, being around since 1999 is a long time in the makeup world. It is indeed a classic!
