Black Vinyl – Shiny black

Black Gems – Charcoal grey base with rainbow sparkles

Prismatic Purple – Royal purple with blue shimmer

Sparkling Turquoise – Bright shimmering turquoise.

Emerald Glisten – Emerald green with blue tones.

I wore Sparkling Turquoise on the upper lash line only. I used Jesse’s Girl eyeshadow primer for my base and then put Urban Decay Walk of Shame on top. For the mascara I used bareMinerals black mascara for the upper and lower lashes, then added a second coat on the bottom lashes in Aqua Blast.

Sparkling Turquoise and Emerald Glisten stain like crazy. For the swatches above, I washed my hands to remove them and not much budged. I scrubbed with a wash cloth and got most of the liners off. I used a makeup wipe, still had blue and green residue. I used my oil makeup remover, still had blue and green residue. I washed again with soap and water, didn’t budge. I finally exfoliated my hand and got it all off.

Black Vinyl, Black Gems and Prismatic Purple are pigmented, apply easily, and come off easily with makeup remover. Sparkling Turquoise and Emerald Glisten left a stain on my skin, even with oil makeup remover.

Overall, I really like these liquid liners and I think they’re a very budget friendly option for liquid liners. I didn’t experience them transferring or rubbing off on my hooded eyes and they lasted all day for me. However, I always wear eyeshadow primer, so I know that helps to extend the life of my eyeliner.

I think Milani did a nice job picking these colors! The only color that is ‘weak’ is the Emerald Glisten, which seems a bit watery though it can be built up. I really love Prismatic Purple! It’s gorgeous.

I took off 1 star for the staining and the watery Emerald Glisten. 4 stars.

What do you think of these eyeliners? Like? Dislike?

  1. I saw an ad for these and was really curious as to what they actually looked like, and whether they really had sparkle or were just  shiny, so thanks for sharing the swatches!! 🙂

  2. These look so pretty, Emerald Glisten almost has a jelly quality to it.  Too bad about the staining, though, I’m always scared of blue/green liquid liners for that reason.
