Bruja is described as a stone cold toned taupe nude. On me it reads as a dirty pink taupe. Honestly, I love it and I’m making it my go-to ‘nude’ lipstick.

I wore Bruja for about 5 hours without applying a lip liner or base. It lasted through a meal and me drinking water. It needed a touch up at the center of my lips. I was seriously impressed with the formula because it has a sort of satiny matte finish, but it’s not drying. It’s very comfortable to wear. I like that it’s a swipe n’ go color.

Cinderhella is described as a cool blue-based hot pink. On me it reads as a magenta / deep fuchsia pink. I love the blue tone.

I wore Cinderhella out to dinner with friends without applying lip liner or base. It wore for 5.5 hours through dinner and drinking. It did wear off some after my meal, but it left behind a pretty solid magenta pink stain, so it only required a light touch up afterwards. It also has that sort of satin matte finish. It’s pigmented and comfortable to wear.

Even though I tested these without lip liner, I do recommend wearing lip liner so that your lipstick lasts longer. Urban Decay Multi-Purpose Pencil in Ozone is awesome as a base, as is Too Faced Lip Insurance. For a lip liner color to work with Bruja I recommend Urban Decay Native. For a lip liner color to work with Cinderhella I recommend Urban Decay Jilted or Colour Pop Heart On.

I’m in love with the Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipsticks formula for the two shades I purchased and I sincerely hope that they make more lipsticks in this formula. It works so much better for me than their Apocalipslick glosses (which are nice, but prone to coming off on my teeth. No bueno.) I highly recommend Bruja and Cinderhella. Phyrra approved!

Which shade do you like best – Bruja or Cinderhella?

  1. I really want Bruja and RPG but I’ll purchase them when they re-release a shade called AK-47 soon!

  2. Normally I’d say Cinderhella without a second thought but… Bruja looks amazing! I have nothing in my stash like it. I have the hardest time with nudes but Bruja looks like a nude I could really wear with confidence! *adds to The Need List*

Also…gotta say I am loving that packaging! XD Both look awesome on you! <3

  3. The texture just looks nice when it’s on you. I can see why you love them. I’m leaning toward Bruja, from these two.

  4. They are both gorgeous and totally “me” colors. I love them and they look great on you!

  5. They both are such pretty colors and super flattering on ya. Love the packaging.

  6. Those should be Phyrra approved. The fuchsia one especially looks perfect with your skintone. I think the packaging is great.

  7. Very cool packaging. They’re literally lipstick bullets. I love a good pun. The colors you picked are lovely.

    1. P.S. Damn, you’re looking sexy in that video. Your new dress is adorable, too.

  8. I love Bruja! I’ve been looking for a light purple mauve & Poof here it is, lol.
(Do you have any favorite pale purple or blue lip stick/ gloss/ balm products? -ok this sounds bad lol, but like a pretty pale dead look. Yep that that sounds weird

    1. Hi, Nikki. If you haven’t yet, you might try: Nyx High Voltage Lipstick in Playdate; Nyx Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Castle: Nyx Macaron in Lavender, Earl Grey (pale blue), and Black Sesame (pale gray); Kat von D Coven; and Morgana Cryptoria Maleficient.

        1. I was looking forward to what you’d recommend, too. You’re knowledge is much more extensive. I just butted in, because…I’m chatty and butt in (sorry). 🙂

            1. My mother constantly told me I was bossy. I advocate so much for my kids, I’m repeatedly told I’m “pushy,” and “obnoxious,” or more nicely, “persistent,” and that I have “a strong personality.” So sometimes I worry that I really come off that way. If I get out of line, just whack me on the nose with a newspaper; I’ll settle down. 🙂

  9. Man I need these too. I have RPG and really like it. I hope they make more colors. I’m not usually a lipstick fan because they wear off so fast but the formula on these is great for me.

  10. Okay, I’m obsessed with the bullet shaped bullet and those colors are GORGEOUS! I need Bruja in my life! It’s just insanely gorgeous, and just my type of nude!
