Leaping Bunny Approved Makeup Brands

Leaping Bunny Approved Makeup Brands

I wanted to share a list of current Leaping Bunny Approved Makeup Brands. These are brands that make color cosmetics like eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks, nail polishes and foundations. Some of the brands listed on Leaping Bunny’s site are now out of business or don’t carry color cosmetics (even though the site says they do), so I wanted to bring you a more focused list. Brands in bold are brands that I have personally tried. You might find Cruelty Free Brands at Sephora helpful.

All of these brands are cruelty free. Many are vegan. Some call themselves ‘clean cosmetics.’

  1. I am looking for a new blush, i had read that Bare Minerals was cruelty free but they are not listed on the cruelty free kitty list above. I did note that their parent company is not cruelty free. What advice can you give me?
    Thank you,

    1. Hi, Cruelty Free Kitty is a different website. BareMinerals is cruelty free but their parent company is not. My favorite blushes are by Urban Decay, who is cruelty free but their parent company is not. I also like theBalm’s Balm Beach, Physicians Formula Plum Rose, and Wet n’ Wild the Princess Daiquiries blushes.

    1. Yes! And Leaping Bunny is the highest level of cruelty free certification, and the program works and takes tangible steps to fight animal testing, so it is great to support these brands. There are brands that are cruelty free that aren’t on this list, it just means that they haven’t gone through the LB certification-so there’s also a comprehensive total cruelty free list that she has(top of the site) as well as other helpful ones like Cruelty Free Brands at Sephora, etc 🙂 I’m a newer beauty blogger who features only cfree beauty, and I share this and the other lists and always refer to them, and they are constantly updated, to make sure that the status hasn’t changed 🙂

  2. I agree with the others! This list is super helpful! Especially if you’re unfamiliar with the cruelty-free brand world!

    1. I’m working on more focused lists like this over the next few weeks. Right now though I’m sick in bed. Caught a super nasty bug from the plane. So glad it’s helpful!
