Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! I’ve been using this product for over a year now (and I originally reviewed them in June 2011). I’ve continued to purchase this product every time I run out and I don’t even think about replacing it with another brand. It just works so well for me! I think it’s an important step in my daily routine.
Additionally, I really like that the company, LaVanila is such a socially responsible company! They use natural ingredients, they don’t test on animals, they are concerned about reducing their carbon footprint, they use 100% recyclable packaging, they just overall seem to be an awesome company.
Would I purchase again?
Yes! I keep purchasing again and again! This is why I wanted to do another review of this product! It is possible to have a great product with great ingredients that protects your skin that is nice and natural.
I am very impressed with LaVanila and their values. I love that the’re eco-friendly and cruelty-free. I wholeheartedly recommend them if you need a daytime moisturizer with spf. I love this product.
Product purchased by me many times. All opinions are my own.
I have combo oily skin and am male, will this be too heavy and also does it really go on clear? Also, what do you think of the deodorant with essential oils? thank you
I think this will be too heavy for you if your skin is combo / oily. I haven’t tried the deodorant so I can’t speak to that.
LaVanila has SPF 40 face cream, its formula contains vanilla extract, and green tea extract. By continued use, its dual whitening system enhances the skin’s lightening process by helping prevent further skin darkening.
this is so sweet! i’d love to try it, do you know if i get this here in australia?
With jojoba as its component in this product, a must have for skin care indeed. With global warming looming these days, it is quite a handy alternative for protecting one from the harsh environment we are these days.
I have been wanting to get this ever since you first recommended it to me. I wish it was more widely available. Being it is only available at Sephora I haven’t ordered it yet. Ordering from Sephora to Canada is quite painful and if I want free ship I need to add more stuff! Unless ordering from Sephora to canada has improved? It has been a couple years since I bothered. 😉
I’ve been using it for about a year now, based on your recommendation, and I agree. It’s fantastic!
Somehow I didn’t notice that this was a chemical free sunblock. I need to try this!! I can’t use most SPFs on my face since it seems everyone uses the chemical SPFs and I can’t have them anywhere near my super sensitive eyes.
it can be bought only at sephora right? btw how does it smell like? ::)
Hmm. I’d like to try this but I’m worried that the high amount of shea butter will be too heavy for my skin. Actually I suppose it may not have that much shea butter in it because it could be mostly aloe and that coconut oil derivative. What teh heck, it’s on my list!
