My Thoughts
I love this palette! Much like with the Spellbinding eyeshadow book, I love that KVD is encouraging people to layer and experiment with shadows by including Dayglo. It really helps people to think outside of the box and get into the habit of playing with colors. Don’t limit yourself to just mixing the other 7 colors with Dayglo! Try mixing Galore with Dog Roses. See what happens when you play with Selena and Placebo.

I love the packaging. It’s such a super cute, bright design. I also appreciate the fact that the eyeshadow names are printed underneath each of the eyeshadows in the palette.

I love all 8 of the colors. I find these to be great colors for spring. I love mint, coral and purple! The peach is a great eye brightener. While I’m not typically a brown eyeshadow fan, I do like the bronze, Dog Roses, especially with Dayglo layered on top. I find South easy to use for blending out the edges of other colors.

Pros

  • Great eyeshadow texture
  • Very portable
  • Good value for the price

Cons

  • the purple has a tiny bit of fallout

  1. Those palette looks great! I wish i can win that! =D
Thank you, dear, for this giveaway!

  2. LOVE this palette – the colors, the finishes, the packaging… *swoon worthy* 😀 I adore the layering idea so much. Dayglo is beautiful. It reminds me of Illamasqua Hemlock but in eyeshadow form. Gorgeous! <3

  3. Glad to know that Kat Von D is cruelty free! I love her eyeliner but I’ve been getting mixed answers about her CF. Different websites either conflict or don’t list her at all!

  4. seems like if you own the spellbinding palette already then there’s a lot of similar repeats? dayglo and archangel are very pretty tho and really up my alley.

    1. I was really pleased with both the Spellbinding Palette and this palette. I purchased both for myself. While I did swatch on primer (because I can’t go without eyeshadow primer due to having oily, hooded lids), I felt the pigmentation for all colors was good. I also bought one to give away because I love it so much. So for me, I’m happy with this palette and love the pigmentation.

  5. I really love this palette. There are so many looks I can come up with in my head, and that’s not usually the case with palettes. I’m a sucker for pastels, I think Spring is my favorite time of year color-wise (followed by Summer, I love neons too lol, I’m a color girl). Lately, I’ve been really into orange pastels. Thank you for having the giveaway. =)

  6. Wow – using Dayglo over the top changes the colours significantly and looks incredible. I’m with you on the ‘encouraging people to layer and experiment with shadows’ (in fact this is something that you’re tutorials have really inspired me with – thanks)

    1. And it will look a lot better when you actually use it on your eye rather than me quickly blending on the back of my hand.

      1. likely true but in pallette the colours were nice but didn’t excite me, but the swatches definitely make me want to try these out.

  7. This looks great… and I have to admit I’m rubbish at mixing and experimenting, it’s something I definitely need to work on! I so wish we could get Kat von D in Europe!!

  8. What lovely shades! I love Kat von D but the Sephora outlets in Asia don’t carry her line, so I get the products when I travel, by which time the LEs are long gone!

  9. I have been eyeing this palette on Sephora’s website… but really hoped to swatch it first since the colors are not those that I would normally use. I do think it is gorgeous though and can’t wait to check it out! 😉

  10. I was just looking at this palette last night on Sephora. It’s gorgeous! Thanks for the generosity!

  11. Very pretty palettes! I have several Kat Von D ones and haven’t been disappointed yet!

  12. I like the concept of layering different colors to create unique shades, and it’s really cool that KVD is encouraging people to think outside the box. I wasn’t going to pick up this palette, because I’m not very comfortable with some of the colors, but my favorites are Archangel, Galore and of course Dayglo.

  13. This palette looks really pretty. I find myself rather consistently impressed with the quality of Kat Von D shadows.

  14. I adore Placebo! I really like all the colors (perfect for spring!) – but I mainly want this palette just for Placebo :p
